Yeah sadly the trend is that the promise is there, but they just don't quite get it. They seem to think that just because they pick a good franchise and make a game based on it, it becomes automatically great. Doesn't quite work that way.

Look at Mass Effect and Bioshock, two awesome games that both invented their own settings and stuff, then look at all the "based on movies" games and other crap we've got...

Yeah i couldnt agree more, they just sometimes throw some great concepts together without putting any kind of innovation or extra thought into it and think that it will be great. Both the titles we have discussed in here have been in production for quite some time and are by highly regarded developers so hopefully they should live up to the expectations.

Im hoping for the horror, and suspense to be there in all its glory. I want to hear the fear of the team in co-op and watch their caution when going into dark corridors. Thats what games like this were made for, seeing the full panic as someone desperately fires off a clip while backtracking.

Least you have a 360 still so can still play your games, as opposed to me staring at the space where mine used to be. :lol:


Apparently it usually takes between 2-3 weeks but i have no idea to be honest with you.

Do you have 'rent-to-own' stores in England? They are expensive in the long run, but not so bad to rent something for a few weeks while your xbox is being repaired. Where I live those stores rent game consoles. Just an idea, I'd hate to read on the forum next week that you went crazy and had to be locked til you get over game withdrawals.

I dont know of anywhere around here that lets you rent consoles. Someone has mentioned this before i think but i dont think we can anywhere around here or even if places do it over here. Im just going through a lot of movies and TV shows as of late on streaming websites and even played Metal Gear Solid 3 on my PS2 earlier (that hasnt been switched on in a year). :lol:

I have never played on a modern game console before. I played some Atari as a kid, but no video games at all from about 1980 to 2000. In 2000 my wife bought me a Navy Seals pc game. Since then pc gaming is about all I do with my time. I am hoping that when/if Fable 2 comes out they will announce that it will also be available for pc someday. If not, I will have to get an xbox and learn to use a controller instead of a keyboard

Unless you use a USB keyboard and Mouse for it, though im not entirely sure if they are compatible with all games etc.

You should have no problems with Fable. No First and Third person shooters where you have to aim like Satan - that's when the transition from mouse+keyboard to controller really hurts!
