Les Paul, dead at 94.

Les Paul, the acclaimed guitar player and inventor of the Les Paul, passed away on Thursday, August 13, at a hospital in White Plains, New York from complications of severe pneumonia.



He was a robust 94 years old. In recent years Paul played twice weekly at the Iridium Jazz Club with a non-stop calvacade of rock legends including Paul McCartney, Slash, Dickie Betts, Zakk Wylde, Brian May, Joe Satriani and others.

Thats quite sad, Yeah i've heard of "Les Paul" quite alot, Never really heard his stuff though.. Always a bad day when a Legendary Rocker Passes away.

First solid body. Les Paul and Leo Fender were basically the pioneers of guitar.

Exactly, where would MUSIC in general be without him? He was surely one of the most important musical figures of our time.

Ive told you about this before... if you have nothing productive to add then dont add anything. Added infraction, not for this comment entirely but for continuously doing this in threads. Hopefully you will cease to do this from now on.

RIP Les Paul, music wouldnt have been the same without his influence.

To be honest, I don't really see the sadness in it. Yes, it sucks when somebody dies, but the man did live 94 years. If I live to be 90+ I would consider that a blessing.

Id agree with you there, he had lived a good life and couldnt have achieved much more than he did.
