Master Chief vs. Predator

My friends and I had this debate a few days ago. Pick you side.


My heart says Predator but my brain says MC.

MC is not god. He is the epitome of human potential for ranged warfare. That said, I think Predator would win. MC needs a clear enemy and he is involved in OPEN WARFARE.

Let me re-iterate. OPEN WARFARE. Not assassination tactics. If a Predator was not combating MC in open combat and got the opening shot, dead MC. If it's open combat MC wins, simply because that is what he is bred and trained for.

Again, MC is not trained for anything but open warfare. He is no assassin, he is no infiltrator, he is no tactical genius, just the best possible soldier. And a Predator is not a soldier, will not engage in open warfare unless nessecary, and will attempt to kill in one shot, without being noticed at all. The only real advantage MC has is his motion radar, however, a Predator could pick him off with his uber shoulder cannon if he stays still.

Bottom line: MC wins in open combat, but in ANY other form he loses.

I disagree with the infiltration thing. I mean Master Cheif is his own one man army. The entire war halo was based around was won on the back of MC. Plus he just busts into enemy bases blasts everyone up, blows the base up then walks out. He is too much of a bad ass to be killed by any alien.

Check the books howler, the spartan 2's were trained in about every type of warfare, infiltration, stealth, and tactics especially. MC is not god no, but spartans were trained for everything.

Master Chief is so overrated by fanboys, it's stupid.

Both were bred for war.
Both use stealth techniques but Predator can cloak anytime he wants.
If anything, Predator uses a better arsenal of weapons.*
Predator also has Heat Vision to seek out warm blooded enemies and another vision to seek out cold blooded enemies.

I'm not really seeing any challenge.


* Predator has his weapons on him at all times, MC does not.

^He is not overrated by the fanboys, he is overpowered by the books.

I originally went for the Predator, but The Chief has killed several Sangheili assassins in the series, has a more modernized version of Spartan training. He is also very strong, well armed and can run at a cheetah's speed.


On the other hand, the Yautja are a species that are bred for hunting and are trained in tactics in a similar way, and have better tech, but as their overall power is comparable to the Sangheili (In both tech and natural ability) And the Chief can best a Sangheili in nearly everything, and equal one in unarmed combat. Chief baby.

I don't really like either but Master Chief has technology that rivals the Predator's and maybe even surpasses it.

Plus... he has shields and a Gravity Hammer. I think the Predator would lose this time around.

the spartans (chief included) WERE bred for assassination. they are given numerous missions requiring it. if you watched the halo: legends series (which i doubt you have) the very first short is of a spartan and several ODST troopers being landed in a jungle to assassinate a covenant prophet.

you halo haters (mainly directed to zeej) just dislike how overpowered the chief is. you're right, he's probably one of the most overpowered and invincible characters in video game history. it would take Ryu Hayabusa or Kratos to beat him if you ask me. but then, once you tap in to characters who can use magic or are textbook immortal (not just damn near impossible to kill) it's a slippery slope.

He is overpowered but, he died anyway so lulz.

Send more yautja, while humans try to get the recipe right to make new spartans.

Officially, anyway. They are all classed as MIA to prevent demoralization of the regular troops. Plenty of SPARTANS have died
