I just saw a review of the xbox 360 slim. But guess what? The first xbox 360's hard drive isnt compatible with the slim. So, if you want to get fable 3 and try to convert your saves from fable 2, you might be out of luck. But the saves probably wont be that effective anyway ^_^

Transfer Cable? External/Flash Drive? Solutions?

Something tells me that one of these things *for example a HDD* doesn't have a slot :O

i just find it a bit odd that they didn't put a memory card slot in
but im gonna stick with the fat

For $20... hell I'll use the damned cable. Not gonna waste my life trying to use the USB piece of crap I've got, and I'm not about to spend the money for one that'll actually be able to transfer it all.

Still not even sure if I'm going to invest in the new 360. Fable III is probably the only thing I'd use Kinect with, so not sure that's worth the money right now. Plus the 360 I've got is still running. Eh we'll see. Either way transfers aren't an issue at all. MS would've lost a lot of sales if memory couldn't be transferred.
