Infinity Ward have been busy it seems and have come up with possibly the coolest special edition I have ever seen. I mean come on, it comes with night vision goggles!! Yes, night vision goggles.

The prestige edition will include an exclusive art book, Call of Duty classic arcade game, and a fully working set of night vision goggles with a custom Soap McTavish sculptured head. No price yet, but who the hell cares ... night vision baby!!

That is like... AWESOME!!! All they need to do is to make an "S.A.S. Edition" with a gun!! Muahhaahhahaha!!

That is beyond awesome.

I really have to get that when it comes out, but i would of been much better if it had a grenade instead of the goggles. :shifty:

I personally like AC more then MW.

Waste of money really, reminds me of the Halo 3 'special edition' with that helmet.

I'll only pre-order or get 'limited editions' if there is some sort of extra game content added (like what Fable 2 did) and of course not too overpriced, not for some little trophy.

I have 3 pairs of night vision goggles.

One from my dad, who was in the Air Force.
One from my mom, who was in the Air Force.
One from my grandpa, who was in the SS.

The novelty of "Hey I can see in the dark" wears out pretty fast.

...but you can see in the dark and you get them in the prestige edition along with a sculpture of Soap's head to model them on.. :'(

Anyway, I wasn't even gonna buy MW2 untill I saw how awesome this special edition is, I know I can get night vision goggles just about anywhere but.... THEY'RE ****ING SWEET!!

Whilst watching the Prestige Edition unveiling last night for Infinity Ward & Activision's Modern Warfare 2, I was hit with two emotions.

Straight off the bat when I saw the goggles, I was hit with a slight feeling of elation, because seriously, who doesn't want a pair of night vision goggles!? I know I do.

My second, and more overpowering feeling was more of an afterthought that really made me doubt the package. Of course, I'm talking about the price point. Quite simply put, I was sat musing to myself ... "if they're packing a set of night vision goggles in there, how much is this bad boy going to cost!?"

Infinity Ward, via Twitter (I'm kind of getting sick of saying that now), responded to the price point questions by stating that the "Prestige Edition suggested retail is $149." What that would translate into pound wise makes me shudder to think at the moment, but I'll cross my fingers for a circa £100 price. Otherwise, not too bad. Too rich everyone else? Speak now or forever hold your peace.

...

As far as other Modern Warfare 2 tidbits go ...
- The Hardened Edition is around $80.
- Both the Prestige and Hardened Edition will ship with Call of Duty XBLA.
- Call of Duty XBLA will have full multiplayer and achievements. It's an arcade title, achievements are a necessity.

awesome. but if the entire thing is $150 then the goggles probably aren't very good. but still cool. its tempting, but Il probably just get the regular version.

well im buying it just so i can play modern warfare 2 with them on and then i dont have to use them ingame and i can play in the dark... and watch porn at midnight and not turn on any lights... i joke about the last part but you guess why its so wanted.. im not gonna waste cash on it
