Bonjour mon petit pois!

Ok, so with Christmas coming up I wanted to get Jessica a new game for her Wii but her choice in games is not far above shocking and I don't want to spend mah hard-borrowed cash on something which is going to be crap.

So here are the options and I was hoping those who have played them or know something about them might be able to assist me:

Super Mario All Stars 25th Anniversary Edition Product Info

We Sing Product Info

Or, and this makes me want to cry as I write this:

Pokepark Product Info

It can only be one of these options (because there's only so much I can steal from Steve before he notices). The Mario one I only noticed today and she's played some older games before but I don't know how rubbish it might look on the Wii compared to newer games? Anywho, any and all help much appreciated :)

The Super Mario Anniversary Edition doesn't seem very special at all unless you're a serious Mario fan that needs everything Super Mario.

Didn't you already purchase her a singing game for the Wii over the Summer?

PokePark is the only one of the 3 that looks remotely worth one's money.

*sob* Pokemon in my house. I'm so ashamed...*sob*

@Scott - yeah, that was the plan but they were waaaay too expensive for what they are. I'm still not too keen on the price tag, to be honest. I sort of slung the Mario one in there because she likes Mario games a lot and just wondered if it was even worth looking into but if it's just for diehards then I prolly won't bother.

Unless someone has any better ideas, it looks like I'm going to have to defile myself and buy Pokepark. Which in title alone sounds like a paedophile's paradise...or somewhere to go dogging...

Hey, it's not my fault you're too old to have grown up with the original Pokemon, giving kids all over the world the subconscious impression that making animals fight to the death faint for fun is good.

Animal Crossing: City Folk?

Animal Crossing was terrible on the DS, and it will be terrible on the Wii.

I personally want donkey kong returns.. other than that im not sure what she'd like. I loved the donkey kong games as a youngster.

I just don't enjoy games where you spend more time waiting for something to happen than you do actually doing things.

She doesn't like games which require any sort of micro management - it's frustrating for her (hence why Sim Animals or whatever the hell it's called has been dumped to the bottom of the gaming pile). Is Animal Crossing like that?

Pretty much, there's lots of grinding and micro managing in the game.

That's all it is. You go around planting trees, fishing and seeing if you've got any mail, and then you wait a whole real life day and do it again.

Anything with Mario in the title is usually worth the buy. Or give her Wii points.

I don't like Pokemon all that much, but you know what makes them awesome?

Fear the Squirtle. And Blastudo. And... the other one.

Also, yeah, my vote would be for Pokemon. I loved that **** when I was 9. Also, how are you going to make sure that she doesn't see this?

Also-also, yes, I realize that I'm nine days late. I just didn't care.

edit: NOOO! The link didn't work! EDIT2: There it goes.

The original 150 Pokemon kicked vast amount of butt. The newer ones suck an equal amount of ass though...

I think that the second generation ones were pretty good also, but maybe that's because they're the ones I played first?

@Walker - Jessica is banned from my laptop until she learns the basics of internet security. Well, that's the official story anyway.

Was she downloading porn again?

Story-sharing time: When my sister, Catie, was about six. Or maybe five. My dad clicked incautiously and got a virus that caused the occasional porn popup to come visit. My mom didn't know how to get rid of it, so she'd be sitting there, and the porn would come on up, and Catie would go, "don't worry, this happens all the time, I know what to do."

(Incidentally, no, my mom isn't a computery person.)
