Mountain Dew does it again for us Gamer Fans

March 23, 2010 - Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker has become the latest game to tie-up with beverage maker Suntory for a promotional beverage. Different from Suntory's Final Fantasy XIII "Elixir," though, this promotion will appear both in and out of the upcoming PSP Metal Gear game.

Suntory will release a set of 8 limited edition Peace Walker Mountain Dew cans to Japan on April 27, Konami announced today. The 350 mL cans will run the standard 115 yen price and will feature images of Peace Walker's cast of characters.

The tie-up works the other way as well. Mountain Dew will appear in Peace Walker as an in-game item. It's unclear what effect the item will have on the gameplay experience.


Peace Walker hits Japan on April 29, and the rest of the world a couple of months later. The promotion has only been announced for Japan at present.

No way. It is incredibly foul. It is nothing but sugar and color! After countless years of waiting they finally started stocking it in stores up here in the frozen north and I was so stoked (curse you TJGriffin!) but I nearly threw up in my mouth as soon as that nasty stuff touched my tongue!

Weeeeell... I said it is "amongst the foulest liquids". I'm sure there are worse stuff. Like manure mixed in bile, put in a blender and enjoyed with a slice of lemon.

I enjoy Mountain Dew, so I am stoked even though I dislike Metal Gear.

Mountain Dew leaves this really weird taste in my mouth... can't describe it very well but it's almost like metal, nasty stuff.
