My 360 gave me a heart attack!

After hearing about Darkan's 360 leaving this world, I felt a light tingling and sharp pain in my chest when my 360 would just display "Unplayable/readable Disc" no matter what game I put in!

But I did what I always do when I come up against a problem, I put my finger in there and wiggled it around. Probably snapped something back into place, 'cause then it worked again. :lol:

So why am I posting this? 'cause I think I need a hug. :'(

At least you fixed it...I get that sometimes and just shout at it until it works. I don't think it fears me so much as wants me to shut the hell up...

Heh, thanks all. It really had me scared - today's the first day of my summer vacation and all and I've got some gaming to do! Perfect timing for it to go bust-o on me...

That is scary! Good job getting it working again. Mine hasn't RROD in a while and I just put in the AC for my office so it will probably help a bunch. It is still a lot noisier than it used to be so I'm guessing that it will need to be replaced at some point.

Mine, was incredibly noisy, when I first got it back. Then they did an update, and it was quieter. Mine, was supposed to be a new replacement.
I always accept updates.

A bit over 1 year now, I reck'n. Got it for myself as a birthday present to myself, and my birthday is the 21th of may.

So yeah, a bit over 1 year now.

Next time, get the extended warranty. I'm so glad I did. I expect mine to break again.

No, they don't make gaming systems, the way they used to.
Lots of times, if you take a q-tip with alchol, you can clean the dirt out, just do it carefully. It's amazing, how dirty it gets in there.

Mine had a brief RROD before it finally died but was fine after i turned it off and on again. Wasnt until about 6 months later it finally lost its life and had to go in for repairs. My status has just changed to 'Device shipped to customer - Your console has been repaired or replaced. We are shipping it back to you.' Also said i wasnt covered by warranty at first but think it didnt take into account the extended one issued after so many RROD's as it says its in warranty now. I would have been quite annoyed if it was out of warranty because it first said it expired 5 days before it broke down. Seems all is good though and my console is on its way home.

Glad to see yours didnt bite the dust Tsuyu.
