My Google Chrome Is Broken

sooo, i've been having this problem with google chrome for a while now.
i'm dead tired of firefox so i'm just going to see if anyone here knows what's going on?

in short, it crashes when i try to load certain websites. these crashes aren't random, it's always the same ones. this page is fine, and most pages for that matter. it loads encyclopedia dramatica fine, but their popup ads make it crash.
if i run fiddler (web debugger is the official term...i think) it's fine.

i started getting a message whenever i start up my pc (vista) that it's missing zlib.dll or something like that so the two could be related.

any idea what's wrong or how i can fix it?

When the error popped up, did it give you a directory path when it said zlib.dll was not found?

yes it did, i can restart my computer if you need the directory.

I don't need it, but you do. Go here to download the zlib.dll file (hit the free download button), usually solves my problem with missing .dll files. Then place the file into the directory where it [the error] says it's not found.

If that doesn't work, then you can try reinstalling Chrome to remedy the issue.

I don't need it, but you do. Go here to download the zlib.dll file (hit the free download button), usually solves my problem with missing .dll files. Then place the file into the directory where it [the error] says it's not found.

If that doesn't work, then you can try reinstalling Chrome to remedy the issue.

i went to restart it, and apparently i got the file wrong. it's dz1c1.dll
which i don't think is on that site. i did a google search and there are literally 3 search results and they are all in a foreign language.

i honestly have no idea

Reminds me of the time I had a virus, every time I restarted the PC I kept getting a .dll not found error, but it was a different .dll each time. Hopefully that's not the case for you, I don't know what other advice to give you unfortunately, aside from reinstalling Windows or restoring the system to a previous point (if you have any saved).

Install MalwareBytes, run computer in Safe Mode, scan.

Google chrome acts dead retarded sometimes. Sometime I'll go on google to search for something and it takes a long time to load. I press F5 and then the screen is white and says something like; Oops! Google Chrome can't find Google.com

That's not a problem with Chrome, I'm afraid.

Use OpenDNS to prevent that. Use the free option. It also stops ProjectEgo from lagging too.

that malware program did the trick! had more infected files than i had any idea of!
