Re: My "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" Theory..

Didn't the boy run to the people and cry wolf. Who would they be in that analogy?

I think I have The Network on my Netflix on demand queue maybe I'll watch it tonight.

Re: My "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" Theory..

Not really scared, just not really into all those conspiracy type things saying the government is bad, government is causing all of our problems, etc. Imagine if there was no government. Worse, huh?

Im not saying they are all bad. The Fear is actually good in some ways.. I Guess it stops people from doing stupid things aswell.

But the Government has done things we dont even know about yet which are most likely bad.. And things we do know.

Im not a Crazed Government hater. I just Think about things from both sides.

Re: My "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" Theory..

First that is a good thought. And second it is true because like other countries the goverment keeps poeple in fear, but in the U.S.A they do it secertly.

Neither am I. I just weigh the pros and cons of both sides, and go with the ones, that'll fix it.

About the theory, I think you have it right. The government wants a war they get a war. Nothing like shipping our young men/women off to war to cut down on world population. I was against a lot of things from the beginning, but when you have some right wing extremist screaming wolf, it's hard to stop. I tried.
It's now so sad to see what we are being reduced to. It has hit so many so hard, they have lost their homes and are now living out of their cars, etc.
OK I am done now.+rep

I am a Texan. My family has been here since the Mayflower, that we came on. I have studied history, and my families history all my life. I have been a Republican all my life, till this last President. One thing I have discovered is the Republicans and the Dem. change sides. I have no idea anymore who is who, so now I listen to both sides, and hope I understand the ones, I vote for.
Texans are very independent, sometimes we could stand on our own. But that's Rebel talk so I won't go there.
When I heard Bush say he didn't understand poor people, in his first term, I knew we were doomed. I voted for him then. Not any longer. Now I vote for the best person, whether it's Republican or Dem. It's all about listening to who is running.:)
Well, rebellion believe it or not, is patriotic. Every country needs rebellion, or else it will become corrupt, like, well,
every country in the world...

Also, don't forget who controlled the whole of the government for almost the past eight years. Not the republicans, that is for sure.
Bush had the power of the Executive Branch, and Democrats have power of the legislative. You are right, independent is the right way to go. You can't believe what anyone is going to say, because they usually don't do it.

I was Right Yay! I thought people might be like. "Your an Idiot who the hell would come up with that!?" Haha But thanks guys! Nice to hear some feedback!
No, you are right. The US flaw is trying to get rid of the fear, and preach peace at schools. They should not be allowed to do that, they will et the country destroyed. That is what I meant by the needs of a rebellion.

Re: My "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" Theory..

thats how the ruling class works in any society. they instill fear and provide a common enemy to keep the masses in control and the machine running.

so, youd better shut up about it, or "they" will shut you up.
