Re: my wishlist and ideas

This is one way I think that Fable 2 could do things better

Taking the concept of increased power for evil spells if your evil and good spells if your good to the point that the spells that are in line with your morality be exponentially better the more pure you are in that morality

Something like this perhaps

For spells that are in accordance with you morality, power would increase as such. The increase at the highest levels is so great it would require that the starting levels be fairly low.
  1. +10%
  2. +20%
  3. +40%
  4. +80%
  5. +160%
  6. +320%
  7. +640%
  8. +1280%
  9. +2560%
  10. +5120%
For spells that are opposing your morality effectiveness would decrease this could be a decrease in casting speed, power as well as an increase in the chance that the spell will fail all together. Take the positive of these values for that one.
  1. -10%
  2. -20%
  3. -30%
  4. -40%
  5. -50%
  6. -60%
  7. -70%
  8. -80%
  9. -90%
  10. -100%
This system would push you to strive for extreme or the other. Neutral players would have the benefits of both sets of spells but a cost of the true power that the spells are capable.

It would be also nice if there were Hero level NPCs that used spells as well with the similar morality NPC befriending you and the opposing morality attacking you. The idea that prompts the desire for magical wielding NPCs is that there could be evil spell that offset good spells and vice versa. One example of this could be disable Physical Shield as an evil spell. Another example could be Tranquility which would counter Berzerk.

On the other hand I hate having a spell that is only good against one boss on one very small part of the game. So perhaps this could be a single spell that summons great evil or great good to aid you and your allies or hurt the enemy. It could work in a similar way to Infernal Wrath or Divine Fury but would basically aid or hurt those within it's area of affect depending on there morality. This spell would have no effect on neutral creatures. Of course the power of this spell would depend even more on the morality of the caster to the extent that you could only have one of the two spells and it would manifest once you reached a certain strength morality and disappear should you fall below that level.

Re: my wishlist and ideas

Going along with the duel wielding dealy, what about being able to use a shield? I mean, the dark night had one! And the weapons guys are always advertiseing sheilds yet there are none! That is false advertisement!!! And that's wrong......

I think it would be also be cool to pick a symbol to represent your character, like a crest or something, that you could put on your shield, armor, or on a flag in front of all the houses you own. Then when you get to King status or whatever that becomes the symbol of your village...... Maybe you could even make your own.... might be difficult in the xbox version, but I think it could be done on the PC.

What chu think?

Good ideas and new ones seem to be giving this thread a Second life. I'd like to see shields to, thunder also had one. And AK, that idea is brill, it was also used in KotOR, i am a LS Jedi but have a force choke but it cost more FP, cause its DS power. One added addition is that Guile modifiers could help lower the amount of points for a Good will user to cast an Evil spell, but only lower it a little. Like Charisma does in KotOR.

Re: my wishlist and ideas

You're but I think that just effected how much force it consumed. I want it to go farther so that really good and really evil people have tremendous power also that a good person Can't uses evil spells and vice versa.

Re: my wishlist and ideas

Hello im new here and wanted to see everyones ideas for fable 2 and contribute some of my own. nice ideas guys!

My friends at school also play fable, they have some issues with the game. they still love it but the game could be so much better for example...

more weapon types/not bound to sword stereotype:
what you may find with most games is that the sword is the main weapon. fable did a good job detaching from that. but still the main weapon is sword of aoens/avo's tear.

I think it would be greater if they could increase the number of types of weapons, and depending on how you play the "legendary" weapon wil be the type you favor,i would definately like to see staves, fist weapons, sickles, daggers, wands, pikes etc.

weapon abilitee's:
weapon abilites. in normal fable you could kill the enemy with a sword, katana, cleaver, by sticking it into his chest when he fell down. but everything else you just kicked them :(. Now think, wouldnt it be marvalous if that mace would daze or stun the enemy? or you could stab enemies in the back with a small dagger dealing massive damage,or slamming the ground with your twohanded weapon createing an earthquake?:w00t:

see ya later
