Thats right folks! Its another somewhat pointless survey thread by your pal TJ Griffin! *mass applause and cheering*

This time, Id like you to share in any myths you belieive in (if not, then just share your thoughts). Im calling them myths cuz I dont really know what else to call them. Anyway Id like to discuss things like UFOs, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, was the moonlanding faked, and things like that. But Im gonna tell you right now, dont mention religion. Thats offencive. This is a discussion, so no fighting. Here are some of my thoughs.

Loch Ness Monster.

This one is my favorite, and i suppose something could be living in the lake. The lake is very deep and murky, in fact i think that its depth still isnt know cuz the murky water interfers with sonar. under these conditions i think its possible that some undescovered creature(s) could live in the lake.

Bigfoot

This one I suppose could be an undiscovered creature, but I think its more likely a hoax. Then people either make up stories of seeing it, or let there own imagination get carried away. So stop drinking in the woods people.

UFOs

yes I do believe in unidentified flying objects, I see them all the time. something will fly by real fast, and i cant tell what it is. therfor, its and unidentified flying object. :lol: sorry, couldt resist being a smartass.

Is there intelligent life in the universe? of course there is. but do they have the technology to travel accross space? I doubt it. If ailien life forms really are coming to this planet, they sure have a keen intrest in rednecks. cuz thats who always sees them. I think alien sightings are pure nonesence. either people are full of it, lying, on drugs, or seeing secret military test craft. the government makes sectret crafts, thats so secret. if aliens really were comeing here they would have done 1 of 3 things by now. 1 enslaved us. 2 killed us all. or 3, seen us as the uncivilized violent beasts we are, unfit to put in their zoos. so they left to give us a few million more years to either become fully civilized and worthy of trading with, or kill ourselvs off. no use wasting precious ammo when your targets are wiping themselves out.

Was the moon landing faked?

my opinion: no. no need to go any further than that i think.

this is classified as cryptozoology, and as a paranormal investigator(yes, yes I am) we debunk(find any means of nullifying something) things, and whatever left that could not be proven wrong, is classified as paranormal, a lot of things about these can be explained very easily, but I actually do believe in them

ON TOPIC:

Lochness Monster - I don't see any reason why there couldn't be one, I think TJ covered it mostly >.>

Bigfoot - Well, if Dwight beleives in them why shouldn't I? They are after all the strongest animals in the world ( i r <3 office )

UFOs - I figure they're real, why else would Area 51 be there? To keep us in the dark about IFOs?

Moonlanding - It was televised, and the government wouldn't (hopefully) blow a bunch of money to make Russia think we did something....

Loch ness: real, maybe a prehistoric fish, who knows whats in the water... we find new things in there everyday, it is possible a prehistoric fish like a Leopluadon (or however it is spelled) or a similar creature could hide in that body of water.

Bigfoot: interesting but false, its a hoax, the encounters that are real: escaped monkeys, or bears and they hallucinate...

UFO: real, Area 51 may have something hidden other than top secret military equipment (aliens) but idk, but Extraterrestrial Life is kool...

I'm a skeptic, first and foremost, so for me everything can be explained easily.

Loch Ness Monster: Fake/Hoax. There was a documentary I saw where this guy had a plank of wood tied to a weight so that it was bobbing up at down on the surface, and sticking right up. He had a group of people with him who all swore blindly that it was the tail of the Loch Ness Monster, then when he revealed his clever trickery, they all swore blindly that it was just a plank of wood. I think this one is a case of someone thinking they saw something once, and anyone who goes looking for it are just convincing themselves that they saw it, when they didn't really.

Bigfoot: See above.

UFO: Definitely not aliens. Military testing seems more likely, if anything. Again, people convincing themselves through some psychological need, that they have seen aliens or bigfoot.

Moonlanding: Why would they fake this? Escpecially when everything that the nay sayers call their "evidence" can be explained so easily?

9/11: This is one I'm really interested in. I've made my views on this public before, but I will reiterate for anyone new.

America has always had an enemy. At first British people were horrible slave drivers, but that went away eventually. Then the black slaves were all going to revolt and kill them all, then they were freed. Then Communism was going to invade and destroy everything. Then Gorbechev fixed all that. Then that decade from 1991 to 2001 was relatively peaceful. Then the Twin Towers went down and we all hate Muslims. Coincidence?

There are too many inconsistencies about 9/11 for it to be completely explainable.

Most estimates agree that the structures offered little resistance to the progress of the collapses and that they took about 50% longer than a free falling object dropped from the tops of the towers. Without explosives to destroy the internal support structure of the WTC towers, argue proponents of controlled demolition, the fall of the towers would violate the principle of conservation of momentum.

After 9/11, cellular experts said that they were surprised calls were able to be placed from the hijacked planes, and that they lasted as long as they did. They said that the only reason that the calls went through in the first place is that the aircraft were flying so close to the ground. Alexa Graf, an AT&T spokesperson said it was almost a fluke that the calls reached their destinations.

There were reportedly three phone calls from Flight 11, five from Flight 175, and three calls from Flight 77 which American Airlines later confirmed did not have airphones fitted; two calls from these flights were recorded, placed by flight attendants Madeleine Sweeney and Betty Ong

Some note that "FAA standard procedures for NORAD interception of off course or ceased responding aircraft" were activated on 129 occasions in the year 2000 and on 67 occasions in the period from September 2000 to June 2001 but failed to do so on 9/11

In suggesting motives for the US government to have carried out the attacks, Professor David Ray Griffin claims that a global "Pax Americana" was a dream held by many members of the Bush Administration. In his lecture, "9/11: The Myth and the Reality," Griffin states that:


"Achieving this goal (American global hegemony) would require four things: getting control of the world's oil, especially in Central Asia and the Middle East—and the Bush-Cheney administration came to power with plans already made to attack Afghanistan and Iraq, a technological transformation of the military, in which fighting from space would become central. [3] an enormous increase in military spending, to pay for these new wars and for weaponizing space, to modify the doctrine of preemptive attack, so that America would be able to attack other countries even if they posed no imminent threat. These four elements would, moreover, require a fifth: an event that would make the American people ready to accept these imperialistic policies."

Reynolds claims it is physically impossible that the Boeing planes of Flights 11 and 175, being largely aluminium, could have penetrated the steel frames of the Towers, and has also proposed that digital compositing was used to depict the plane crashes in both news reports and subsequent amateur video.

Now, the observant among you will notice that I have copied from Wikipedia. That is to save me the time of trawling through the various videos and documentaries I have seen and writing it all out myself.

Also, please note: I'm not saying that the US Government DID do it, and I certainly hope that they didn't, but given this evidence, and the number of possible motives, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it turned out that they did have a hand in it.

Chupacabra - real I have seen this creature in action and it is very weird. Bat wings, huge fangs, big red eyes, about 4 feet tall.

we have :thumbsup:. we have gone to the moon several times, but not very recently cuz there is simply nothing there. its just a barren rock.

on secound thought, im not gonna talk about 9/11. all i will say is i dont buy the US govenments explaination for it at all and i am 100% sure they were responsible. also never befor or since has a skyrise building collapsed from fire. there were bombs planted in the buildings, thermite too. and lets not forget about building 7, wich was not hit by a plane and had only a few fires in it but fell anyway. dont get me wrong, i love this country. i love the ideals this country was founded on (all men are created equal *small print except for indians, women, and blacks* edit, women ok. edit, blacks ok. edit, indians ok. edit, hey were did all the indians go?). i also love all the freedoms we used to have and the way the country is supposed to be. all that good stuff. now iv probly ****ed of some concervative. oh well, youll get over it.

i am also a skeptic, but for all the monster anomolys i think its most likely a hoax but an unknown animal is always a possibility. bigfoot i think is totally a hoax. loch ness monster i think is the most plausable for an undiscovered animal concidering the nature of the lake. still leening tward hoax though. nessie is still my favorite monster though.

As TJ said, we have gone back. The main reason we went the first time was to prove that we could, with the intent to perform scientific research on it because, well let's face it, they had to do something when they were there (golf hadn't been played on the moon yet. They discovered how great THAT was on one of their subsequent trips). But now that we've proven we could, and gleamed all knowledge that we can from it, what point is there to go back, apart from settling permanently there? The next step is Mars

No, the Loch Ness Monster is a myth. But Chessie is real.

No Bigfoot either, but there's definitely the Goatman, and the Skunk ape. (EDIT2: And yes, the skunk ape is Maryland, too. Though I only ever actually heard of it in the book Weird Maryland. The others I actually heard of in person, in the form of, "If you drive along this road late at night, the Goatman will get you,"-type urban legends.)

UFOs? Yeah. Aliens wandering around Earth probing people? Of course. My oldest and dearest friends. Vast government conspiracy? Well, not unless they're really turned on my probing. I always have to beat a couple aliens unconscious before they'll stop attempting the probes.

Not sure if you're serious, but in point of fact... when you really get right down to it... yes. Lotsa prototype aircraft is the usual sane and rational theory.

I will ignore Arseface. I have no desire to bicker with you to the point that I am forced to despise you. You're a decent fellow forumgoer, whatever your conspiracy theories.

EDIT: Wait, I'll ignore TJ, too. I was actually ignoring them both, but then I went back and saw that TJ has the same conspiracyness, so now I'm officially ignoring it instead of actually ignoring it.

Gotta keep your mind open though. But personally, I don't think the government had any part in it. And if all else fails, the real truth is that the government wants you to believe that they did it, and in fact they did not.

And I don't believe in Nessie, or Big Foot, or UFO's. Alien UFO's. Unless it is an immigrants hubcap off in the distance somewhere being thrown. But the Universe is large, so there should be some sort of life out there. Maybe not intelligent, but maybe some bacteria of some sort.

IF They did the landing on the moon Fake, The Russians would of Found out and Have a mass psycho.. so... Of course they landed on the moon.

And the Big Foot and Lock Ness monster.. Yeahh.. Well what the hell I dont really care if they are or not Haha.. Let them be!

Other life form..? Yeahhh i think their might be.. But Why are the movies always showing that aliens are smarter and more technologoy? Well they could just be small organisms right now.. ohwell.
