It's not worth the hassle to do all that to your hair when more likely than not, your hair won't respond in the way you want it too. It'll likely get brittle and break and then you won't be very happy at all.

Which is why I've adopted a hippie-ish "the devil may care" attitude towards my hair. Besides, when you get older you may not have the luxury of a grand hippie-ish mane. :lol:

Erm, not really.
There are a lot of bands out there that are misunderstood as "Scene" or "Emo"
Emo is a type of music, and Scene is a style.
People like you don't even pay attention to the lyrics;
just because they dress differently, and have hair that
may be a *little* different, doesn't mean that they
don't have the right to make music.. I'm just sayin' >_> if you listen to the lyrics of some bands out there. Like Brokencyde. There screamo.

Just because they add a little scream to it, doesn't

I never said it was how they dressed, I never said it was the genre, and I never said it was because it was screamo. Lyrics aren't everything.

The "music" seems completely out of place and disorganized.

And I still think that good music started to die, and did, in the late 90's.

There is the occasional band that shines through the filth, but most of the bands today are terrible when compared to the "golden ages" of the 60's, 70's, 80's and early/mid 90's.

They still have good music: I mean, of course their first albums were
better than American Idiot and 21st Century. But it's still good music.
