We used to also run a GFX Community known as Infinity Effect but closed it some time ago.

Yeah sure was, that place will always have a special place as it was our first site and good community :D

Re: New website ideas.

Hi guys,

Quick question: which of these sound better:I'm leaning more towards residentevilplus at the moment, but closely followed by residentevilpro...I don't know.

I thought I'd also make a Resident Evil site as a spur of the moment kind of thing and I noticed that the competition doesn't look particularly fierce so I thought...why not?

But I must also add that I still wish to buy MORE sites, this Resident Evil one is just something I thought up this morning. Or if anyone can suggest anything better that would be super. However, be warned; I am very, very fussy!

As always, +rep to those of you who contribute. Thanks!

Re: New website ideas.

I think totalresidentevil sounds better... pro and plus sound like shaving accessories a bit... but that's just me...

I still think that a KotOR site would be super amazing fun times...:D but oh well...
how about silent hill? that's another fun series. with several games in its history, as well as the movie, and 2 more games in the works for future, lending itself to much discussion...

Re: New website ideas.

I love Silent Hill, I think it's the mutts nuts. It is one of the few ideas for a website I considered even before this site was started. Sadly though, there is already a well established community (one that I am a member of in fact) that would be difficult to compete against.

I'm also concerned with the future of the series, it seems that the fifth instalment is taking forever to develop and no news is ever shed on it's progress. Plus who knows if there will even be any more after that one? As much as I like the idea it just wouldn't be a good financial investment really.

Re: New website ideas.

Regarding the Resident Evil site - I just bought one, and it wasn't from the list a few posts above. I'll probably spend most of this week working on it but I would still like to welcome more website ideas.

Keep them coming!

Re: New website ideas.

As much as I love Fable, and everything that goes along with it...if I had the talent and more importantly permission to do so, I'd create a web-comic parody of the game world.

I mean, via such a strip, one could flesh out the characters a lot more than what we see in the game. Has anyone else ever wondered what goes through the mind of a balverine, what the everyday home-life of Hobbes might be like, or just what Jack of Blades does for fun other than trying to destroy heroes? That'd be the overall idea of the web-comic. Of course, one might have to change character names (such as re-naming Jack, "Dork of Blades," or something else).

It might even be called something like Fable--The Even Loster Chapters (or Foible) or something like that. There might even be a forum to discuss the strips...if someone was so inclined.

Just throwing out an idea.... ^_^

Re: New website ideas.

Foible..hehe. That's a funny idea.

Re: New website ideas.

@ Liberator,

I do like that idea a lot. I love reading web-based comics which poke fun at my favourite game's short-comings. Very, very good idea. +rep

Just out of curiosity, which game(s) would you pardody and base a website around?

On a side note, check out the following link for an excellent example of game-to-comic-parodies based on the Half-Life 2 PC title: Concerned: A humor comic based on the world of Half-Life 2. ^_^

Well, Fable would be my first choice (unless, if I'm understanding you right, there's already a bunch of Fable webcomic parodies out there)...as far as any other games are concerned, I'll have to think about it.

Re: New website ideas.

how about Twisted Metal? those games are hilarious good times... and creepy in a good way...
Twisted Metal 2 was the first game I ever played on a playstation and it still fills me with joy to this day :D ... and then the fun of riding the sweet tooth transformer around in TMB... hehe
