Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

Written Tuesday, February 09, 2010 by Richard Walker

Ubisoft's third quarter financial conference call has provided the revelation that the next Assassin's Creed title will send ACII's protagonist off to Rome, taking the fight directly to the Templars.

That's not all though, as the call also exposed multiplayer plans for the game, with possible co-op assassination's touted, but no real details beyond that.

"We have a new Assassin's Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline component will have a multiplayer component," stated Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot earlier today.

Ubisoft Montreal is aiming for release sometime before March 2011, but a pre-Christmas release could well be on the cards.

Looking good for you Daemon, but I'm giving up on the xbox although Assassin's Creed was a great game.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

this kinda sucks,
still Ezio
same time era
:(
thats why i liked AC cus it took place in different times of history - and putting a twist on it
its sounds like Assassns creed 2.5
also games that are single player that have a new multi-player hook on them = 80% of the achievements will be multi-player ones

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

Ezio already went to Rome.... so does that mean I'm playing Assassin's Creed 3? Cool.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

Hey! That's my news! Why u steal my newZ?!

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

I still haven't played AC2 yet. I feel behind on the times. Anyone know if the game is going to come out for the PC?

Mm, I haven't even played the first AC, Andy tells me it's good.. but, too many games and not enough money.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

The first AC is freakin' awesome. But the repetitivity gets to you eventually. But it is pretty sick nonethless. Jumping around on the rooftops of ancient civilizations seems to never get old.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

I was hoping for something entirely different.

Pre Christmas? So... They're only spending one year on this game?

Well, with a bigger team you can get a lot done quickly.

Doesn't always mean better. I'd rather them spend two years on it, like the AC1 - AC2 gap.

I don't think anyone is in a rush to buy Assassins Creed 3.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

This isn't Assassin's Creed III. I've read in one of the interviews, that someone said that it's like Assassin's Creed 2.5

Then... They're retarded.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

Why...? It's more AC so...

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

AC 2.5? Didn't they see how "Well" ODST did?

Since AC was only good for the first playthrough.

It has like 10 hours playtime. - It isn't that good.

And yes - ODST sucked.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

You're wrong. 10 hours? It's at least 15h. All other times are bs, unless you're doing a speedrun. But why would you do such a thing?

It's better than most of the games out there.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

I actually just completely completed ACII (I think?), and I can tell you it's easilly more than 15. But I'm a loser with no life, so I don't think that counts.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

I'm actually pretty excited for AC3 to have Ezio again. I can totally see where the storyline is headed, for Ezio and Desmond, and I have a really good feeling about it. I'm more excited for AC3 than I was for AC2 (even though AC2 turned out to be an insanely awesome game).

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

AC 2.5...

This isn't AC3.

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Sees Ezio Head to Rome

What specifically makes it AC 2.5?
