Id imagine they will find a way to carry that over, or at least some medal/banner with the score you did have on it. I mean they can tell the people who have been registered on live since the beginning on the original Xbox (those in USA that got the anniversary consoles) so I dont see why not. The original Xbox didnt have achievements to carry over to 360 so I guess they might even already have it figured out.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to, Xbox Live is currently running as a universal service for all of their current and new products. Even the new Windows 8 is using it with information carried over, kinda like an extra layer that just falls on top of everything. So I don't see there being much if any problems at all.

Possibly could work like Steam & have it remember what you purchased on your account but have to redownload it on a new machine but not have to pay again.

It would be financial suicide to not give people access to the content they've purchased on a new platform.

EDIT: Especially if the game is download only (like arcade titles).
