oh, and I also suck at morrowind.

I have game of the year edition so I also get shivering isles, is that gonna be a problem? Id also like to state for the record that my computer doesnt suck, its just not good enough for gameing.

Well I enjoyed both, until Oblivion's main quest was bugged/short, and my character was stuck as a vampire forever (pre any PC fixes).
Morrowind is just larger, and not as easy to get into.

I'm not sure about the SI. Check the page. I think it is compatible. I'll get back to you TJ.
And so far Kyle (Skote) is having some problems, so I need to help him with that.

TJ, I think I know what you need to do. Running Vista or XP?

If thats the problem, I wouldnt be surprised, it wouldnt be the first time either. Vista is sutch a gawdawful control freak about everything. just installing that thing you pointed out required my to give permission 3 times.

Okay.
Try this...
Right Click Oblivion.
Click Properties.
Click Compatibility.
Check Disable Visual themes.
Check Disable Desktop Composition.
Check Run this Program as an Administrator.

bleepidy bleep! nope, still nothing. for just a second I thought it almost, just almost tryed to work right though....

the thing that really ****es me off is it doesnt say why!!! give me an error code, something! anything! not just "an error".

Im not gonna uninstall it agian though, not untill I absolutly give up. Im gonna check the technical support page and see what I can find.

oh well, if we get my brother a new computer Il just mooch of him to play it. pluss I have a plan to get a real bitchin gameing computer. since Im having no luck finding a job, I can get unemployment to pay me through school. So Il go to school, live at home, collect "free" money and get a computer that way.

so I guess thats it for oblivion for now, final uninstall begins! This time I am definetly getting a desktop though, the fact that I cant update my otherwise perfect laptop bugs me to no end.
