When I was in hospital I thought they had some kind of deal with Bungie and Microsoft the amount of Halo ads that were shown on my little telly...every single ad break across 18 channels had the advert shown twice.

Well, it put me to sleep faster than that poor excuse for morphine that they gave me :lol:

Admittedly, I'm not one of these Halo fans (although I have conceded to play the first game on co-op with Steve provided it's on super easy :lol but I have no problem with an ad-campaign...what irritates me is when something is advertised to death...like those awful LV insurance ads (UK only, you lucky things) or like the Lost ad campaign that made no sense and went on forever before we got to see the actual show...

There's a fine line between a decent level of interest-grabbing advertising and saturating every channel with what you are promoting...

Yeah, my point exactly. Especially since it also feels a but unnecessary because I have no doubt Halo 3 would've sold itself without it.

Exactly, the game was already hugely popular to begin with, didn't need all this barrage of advertisements. Hopefully the $10 Million backing the advertisements, doesn't last it to the holidays.

Freeway Billboards, Store window posters, a commercial ad during every break, I respect the game and all...but I'll be glad when the hype and ads finally die down, for the other big games that are soon to come.

Well yeah - I thought H3 already had a massive following which would ensure megabucks and big sales without over-advertising/hyping it...

Maybe it's just me (and I'm sure it is) but I don't get the need to go crazy over a game...however enjoyable it may be...=]

Hell that would be awesome, Then I could just point and laugh and make sure to avoid the sniper fire and the Carbine shots.
