Parasites and other lovely things

So, some of you know and some of you don't but I have been dealing with a particularly persistent parasite over the last 12 weeks which has made me extra tired, grumpy, sick and generally a pain in the ass (well, moreso than usual).

At the moment, all seems to be well and the parasite is not causing me too many problems although it is making me rather fat so I now need larger clothes to compensate for the rapid weight gain. It is also affecting my ability to balance properly and I am often dizzy and out of breath.

Having had a parasite like this before I can also confirm that they tend to live a long time and bleed you dry both financially and psychologically but on the whole people tend to tolerate their presence and encourage growth with regular feeding, the renewal of size-appropriate clothing and even educating them.

Having been to the hospital for tests to examine this parasite in more detail I can now confirm officially that it shall be remaining until the beginning of September whereupon it shall be removed from the body, given an appropriate name and dressed in tiny clothes.

We do have a picture but no scanner so if and when we are able to we will post it so you too can see what looks like an alien in black and white. I think I know which end the head is...but I can't be sure...

Anywho, that is all for now. Carry on.

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Gratz on your parasite. My wife has had those parasites before. they seem to have found a new host recently, unfortunately, it's my Xbox 360. All they do is play Fable 2. Not so much to play the game as it was intended, but moreso like a digital version of Dress-ups.

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Congratulations! No wonder you guys were so secretive! ^_^

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Unless I'm mistaken, it's this kind of parasite.

Thats even worse, i would prefer the one from Spaceballs...

Edit: Just realised in my state of sleepiness I didn't say congratulations (after 15 nephews & nieces going on 16 now it becomes less congratz and more... great 'sigh' more nappy changes, baby sitting and going bankrupt at xmas time)...

So congratulations! Hopefully the little one doesn't take away too much of your forum time as I always enjoy reading your banter :P

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Oh, that is just awesome. Well, I hope you treat it like a king.

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Ta, guys :D

@ Dagzey - I hear you there. Our current parasite nags more for the 360 than she does for food...and that's saying something.

All images are so far pretty much correct - babies are horrendously ugly things and anyone who says otherwise is a LIAR!!!!11111one

Can't say I'm looking forward to the next 28 weeks of getting fatter and fatter before sitting through endless hours of agony just to be kept awake all night for the following 3 years (at the least) but I have been told it is a necessary part of expelling said parasite. Drugs are good though - I intend to be off my face on drugs when the time comes...I did last time, after all. Nothing quite like hallucinating for forty six hours...

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Hey, at least you can't feel anything.

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Oh but you can...(unless you have the epicness which is known as a spinal epidural but I'm not allowed one this time :()...you can feel every damn thing but the beauty of it is you don't really care - when you can see this guy:

everywhere, then you know you're on another planet :D

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

gratz on the parasite.

feed it cookies and raise it on xbox and Dew.

dont forget to train it to cry on demand so you can get out of boring things like church and meetings and so on.

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Oh the good news!

Re: Parasites and other lovely things

Congrats! You actually had me worried for your health in the first part of that paragraph

Do you know the gender of the parasite?
