Please tell me how pathetic I am.

I'm serious, I want some broader opinions.

Item #1: I'm 21 and I've never been on a date in my life. (Yes, I realize that's really ****ing pathetic, and don't need any more clues to that fact.)

Item #2: I am about to rectify that.

Item #3: With a girl who's three years younger than me.

Item #4: Who's my sister's best friend.

Item #5: Who's had a crush on me since she was about 16, if not longer.

Item #6: This makes me feel kinda skuzzy and pathetic.

So... on a scale of 1-10, 10 being "what the **** is wrong with you, you pedophile bastard" and 1 being "okay, fine, she's three years younger than you, you're both old enough that it doesn't matter," how bad is this?

Obviously, how pathetic I am, that goes on a different scale than how skuzzy I am.

I beg to differ, I AM pathetic, for reasons that don't really need to be listed right now.

I haven't done that since I was in middle school. ("Hey, Walker, you going to the dance?" [Elaborate shudder] "Oh, god no." Realized why she looked hurt sometime later.) But I've done slightly less incompetent failure-to-notices.

I'm also horrified now, worrying how old Tsuyu's sister is.

Tsuyu, you have no idea how relieved that makes me. Can I date your lil sister? 'Cause it's an article of faith with Americans that all Swedish chicks are 'smokin hot. Though that raises the question of why you can't date your sister's friends. It's because you're a troll, isn't it. No cross-species relationships allowed in Sweden?

Because they are also either chicks with kids or spoken for. Pick your poison. Also, yeah... I'm a troll that lives under a mossy rock.

That's not pathetic. I've never been on a date. And as for the age difference, it doesn't matter once the youngest one turns 18 really. It's only 3 years, it's not like you're 50.

Coming from me - an 18 year old lassie, I don't think there's anything wrong here. She clearly likes you and it definitely doesn't seem like you're taking advantage. So, I say go for it -- if you really want to. But try to remember: with young age comes naivity. Good thing you're not a sauve heartbreaker eh?

That's not bad my friend is 19 and he's dating a 16 year old, "Who really mature for her age" No, she's not. It makes me feel gross when he's with her cause I've known him for 5 years and there is about a decade difference right there. He was her first aswell I think she was like his 17th.

I've had 5 relationships I'd like to admit, least of all remember only been on one real date.

I was taking her to china buffet and I bought her a buoque or w/e of flowers. And she says, " Oh you shouldn't have" like in the movies, "No really I hate flowers I never water them they'll probably die in 3 days" BITCH THOSE WERE 25$!

I'd freaking love if a hoe bought me some pretty flowers yknow that!

but yah 18 on 21 is fine dude. You're not pathetic dude even if you think you are.


I mean you're supposed to find that one right girl right?

The only reason people date is so much is either sex or practice so they know her when they finally see her.
 
Know what's pathetic? I've known for nearly a year that the girl I like would accept if I asked her out because one of her friends asked her and I still haven't gone for it. That's sad.

But yeah, if anything I'd like to commend you for seducing this girl.

Walker, the only thing that's pathetic about you is your borderline-fetish for flags. At least you're getting a chance with a girl who you don't hate. That's more than I can say for myself.

The rage I feel right now is so indescribable I'm not actually going to compare it to anything or make you try and feel an ounce of it using metaphors. I will just tell you there is not a way you could arrange any amount of words to describe my anger.

Thank you for comparing me to a 1850s prospector marrying a 15-year-old. I now feel a lot better.

Also, on the subject of suave heartbreakers, I'm gonna say this: I reserve the right to commit seppuku if she gets drunk and anything... inappropriate happens. 'Cause, THAT is ****ed up, the 21-year-old with the drunk 18-year-old, regardless of the fact that she probably holds her liquor better than I do.

I might as well have written this. If you've got a girl who's interested in you that you wouldn't mind being with, I'd say you've got a pretty good thing going. And next time you feel yourself getting sucked into a big pathetic vortex, just remember that there are others out there going through the same thing. Hell, the only dates I've been on were a few afternoons with this girl when I was a freshman in high school back in 2007, then I had a drunken sexual encounter with a girl back in September of 2010. That's my entire romantic and sexual history, so believe me, I get it. It's f*cking awful. If your situation is anything like mine, I'm sure you've felt how bad the loneliness can get, and it just seems like people who actually have romantic relationships have no idea what kind of constant internal sh*t you have to go through. But I digress. Just remember that you're not alone when you start to feel pathetic. I'm not sure if that'll help, but it helps me sometimes, so I figured it's worth mentioning.
