Please tell me there is more to the game :O

So far I've just gotten the quest to go into the spire.

Now, it seems like not that much in terms of storyline completion, at least I really hope it doesn't. The problem is: I see Master weapons at the Crucible, and I've already got rank 4 Brutal and Dextrous Styles.


...wtf is this the end?

Without spoiling, using a scale of 1 - 10 tell me how far I am in the storyline/game

For example if I was to guess, (Hopefully) I should be like 3/10th through the game.

zomg, you havn't just chilled in bowerstone and got drunk, or bought some buildings and watch the money roll in? or explored...or played with your dog? or had sex? Or had a whore? or bought the whore house and made albion get STD's for free? or killed some random bandits, or...Erm i aint even got teh game and i already know what else there is to it. You bring shame to fable 2.

noooo not the end! far from it. well not far, but maby a quarter left.

but if you blazed through the story line, then you missed out on the real purpose of the game which is getting married, side quests, earning gold, jobs, getting achievements, legendary weapons, etc...

I'm glad to hear he's not as close to the end as it sounded, although for anyone to be as far as he is on the first day of release and complain about it is beyond me. lol geez why pre-order and be excited about this game only to fly through :lol:

See, that's the problem.


I didn't, rush it.

That's why I'm upset. I own 10 or so buildings, all the stalls in Bowerstone. I have banged a guy, had a kid, killed the guy, married a chick and now have a little disfunctional family.

If I'm 3 quarters through the storyline, then I'm upset. Because getting 3 quarters through the story is apparently like 5 storyline quests.

I've played the game for maybe, 6-8 hours since getting it. And I explore and do other things for a couple hours before pushing the story farther.

heres where i am, with over just over 22 hours of play. I just reached my late adult hood, Ive obtained 4 legendary weapons through sacrifices at the shadow temple and demon doors, ive purchased pubs and stores in 5 towns, a few homes, married 4 times, with 2 children, unfortunately they had to be sacrificed for evil deeds, I have done bartending jobs, woodcutting, black smithing, assassinations, took carriage rides, slept with whores, made people beg, played with my dog, dug up treasures, collected 8 complete outfit sets, fooled around with the dyes, and different suits, I just purchased my very 1st castle, the shadow of light temple!! 100, 000 gold, my morphing i only have horns as of now, a few scars, i have red glowing cracks in my skin, and blue glowing veins in the dark, my skin is on off red color --->guess im morphing into the demon slowly, and im more than 5 hours away from the ending, plus i have other things i need to do like open all demon doors, collect all the chests, destroy gargoyles, etc,

on my next games i want to go evil with a purity alignment, then i want to go 100% good, then good with a corruption alignment, and see what the morphs are. so much to do in this game

Jiin you keep amazing me with your gameplay. Your character sounds pretty sweet. I haven't even fully learned all the little details of like my actions and such yet...just been winging it. My character's, you know, LOADS of fun for me! But yours is far more fascinating than mine. One day, I definitely want to see your world man. I'll add you and msg you when I get online co-op, alright? :)

yea go for it, my world is starting to look corrupted now, theres another thread i posted my images of my character in somewhere lol i think it was post your morphs?

The storyline felt shorter than it actually was because I couldn't stop progressing it. I just wanted to keep going and going.
The end imo was very anti climatic.

I just now got to the spire quest, I can see why people flipped and thought this would be the end but that really doesn't even make sense for it to be. I'm glad it's not but it's taken me 15 hours or so to get here so that ain't bad. :D

There are plenty of side quests, and you have to play the game at least 3 times to get all of the achievements. It is considerably short, but it's still worth it. Being completely evil or completely good is great way to get some more playability in there also.

well but why exactly are you telling me these things? I've been telling everybody else those things. Was I complaining about it being too short, or ANYTHING? ...no? lol

edit: in fact if you read my post in context you'll realize I was AFFIRMING what you're saying.

side quests?
dude the damn game is only like 4 quests long, what the heck...
getting married, kids, chopping wood, ect thats all just an (im bored what else is there to do) type of thing, why is the main story so short, its ridiculous, this has to be the shortest rpg ever made.

im all for humpin some prosties every now and then but ive been playing for maybe 4 -5 hrs and im at the spire. this sucks

First, you're not at the end. Second, I've been playing over 15 and I'm just to where you're at so don't even try to tell anyone you're doing all there is to do. Third there's obviously more than four quests as a) you're not at the end and b) I'm where you are and have completed over 10 quests with more to do before going to the spire.

If you're bored with the side things, why'd you even buy Fable 2? It's more about the side quests and such than the main story which is kind of intended to be short. A short story is no flaw when the world is as huge and wonderful as this games.

Get real people. I've yet to hear a complaint with valid support for it, well with the exception of just not being in to this type of game. In which case, trade it or something, don't say it sucks just because you don't dig the style.

i do dig the style and no "rpg" doesnt mean all side quests and almost no storyline.
i dig, free roaming, lvl enhancing, option and decision based rpg games... I.E. KOTOR, fallout, mass effect, and they all understood that side quests are good.. but the main story.. is well.. the main story.

you saying its not a valid point is you just trying to pull the sheet over your eyes so you dont have to face the fact that this game is rediculously short. I love the game...all 7 hrs its gonna take me to beat it. and you dont spend 60$ on a rpg for 7 hrs of play, not everyone who likes rpgs like to play it 10 times through, some like the story and then are done with it.

I do agree that the game has a short main story. I do agree that the main story is important. This game does not focus on that, which from my point of view was blatant before the game was released. Thus I don't see a validity in you arguing that the short story is a con to the game.
