This game might be too old but I hope someone still knows. When I drink both the elixir of life and master elixir, I noticed that after the 4th elixir of life, the health bar stops increasing and will master elixir only works 5 times. There are 7 elixirs of life and 6 will master elixirs to be found in TLC.

Coincidentally, 4 elixirs of life and 5 master elixirs are found before the northern wastes. To test out whether only "new" will potions did not work, I tried with my older save getting 4 will master elixir before northern waste and then getting the last one in the archon's shrine. I drank all then backtracked to the demon door at barrow field to get the last one. Similarly, drinking the last one gave no effects.

And btw, I did not max out my will and health bar with experience before drinking the potions.

one last thing, I noticed drinking elixir of life gained more boosts than will master's elixir.

So, your will "bar" would always be longer than your "life" bar.

Does this happen to others too??? Or am I the only one affected >=?

I only get -8 in age for donating at avo's temple. I thought it was 10???

I know it's possible to get your healthbar to reach your minimap, so yes, maybe it's just you

Yeap.. Its almost to the minimap with 7 pts into health. But mana bar is always longer. Just a bit and my mana bar touches the (x) icon; which is how many people can see you.(D/N) is the day night icon. And the glitch repeats even after restarting the whole game. (delete save new play)
Mine looks something like this. Top bar health bottom will.

I don't think it is on the xBox version.

It might not add more health but is it possible that the bar could increase anyway?

Nope. Once you're at the threshold, those potions are only good to sell. Using them is a waste.

Yep, just one of the many unbalances in Fable.

Maybe I should do some mods to fix these issues...

One thing about the potions is that some players may not find them all, so there are more in-game than needed.
The health and mana bars reaching to the minimap thing depends on what video settings you are using. I use roughly 1100x700 and my bars don't go far across the screen even when maxed. If I change these settings they will go much farther, but it doesn't mean I have more health.

Ahh, yeah im using the xbox version. Thanks to JohnDoe and many others for clarifying my doubts.+rep I do noticed that the age reduction is quite random ranging for 5-10.

Maybe the game was created to have more will than health as the Hero belonged to archon's bloodline that are supposedly to be will masters

And also drinking elixirs recover full health and money wise, Bowerstone north rent rocks. I can just buy all the houses there and rent them out and trespass for 3 days and nights for only 900 gold but gave me rent of around 22k LOL.

Age reduction from what? Elixirs? Donating? If donating, it depends on how much money you gave. If elixirs, I didn't know they did that.

Sorry, I meant age reduction from donating. Can I assume that once u received "the gift of youth" from donating, lets say for example 8 years, u can't get the other 2 years from additional donating?

Coz I got an age 65 old hero haha and no matter how much I donate, (I tried donating 1 million with 50k intervals) I only got one reduction to age 57 and regardless of how much more I donate, it won't move to 55.

You can get the gift of youth, herosave and repeat.

i got rid of like 6 years from sacrificing people. you could probably get rid of another 6 or mroe years doing that. ;p i actually decided against leveling up my char all the way because of the age factor. i just leveled up archery and my melee stats pretty high and sin rush. i'm like 38-39. gonna get younger from donating in a bit. just don't want all the good yet.

btw, i didn't even know that's what those potions were for. i pick em up randomly and just have them there in my inventory. never checked them out or anything. just forgot about em. guess now i'll start using em.

Yeap thanks Xeon, but I'm too scared of hero saving corrupt even though I know it only corrupts after 8-10 hero saves.

Haha Strelok, I max up every skill to get my age to the maximum 65 and wanted to do the youth for both skorm and avo to get 20 years off but instead only got total of 10+.

Yeap, use your potions as soon as possible as they confer u more maximum health/will. Just don't use more than 4 health elixirs and 5 will elixirs as all they does is recover your health/will to the max without "extending" them.

I havn't expirienced it yet, when I did the youth bug I saved about 10 or 20 times.

If you're referring to how fable saves corrupt on a console, PC saves can corrupt, just not the same way.
