really?

Complete garbage. I was watching E3 when Molyneux came up on stage and announced Fable Journey. Initially I was kind of excited, having a new Fable come out an all. But then he said Kinect.. And I was just so dissapointed and angry, I actually started flippin off my screen.

This game is a joke. I hope Peter Molyneux didn't really want to make a Fable game with Kinect and that M$ forced him to.

Molyneux has always wanted to work with Kinect, could tell that from his enthusiasm with Project Milo.
 
you know. fables 2 and 3 can suck my not wanting to be royal balls
 
Saying Fable will be on the kinect is worse then saying they are switching platforms to the wii.
 
When I saw fable journey, i thought i was going to barf. I was like, damn molyneux you can't make this **** look like gold. You succeeded with fable 3 but not this time. This pure **** and you will not be able to sell this to me.
Although i kinda liked the darker setting an all, tats really it. You can't ****in move your character cuz you dont use a goddamn controller so the game plays out like a shooting game. And the first person was just the worst. No more character customization and no motivation to be good or evil.
 
Well, I don't have kinect, but I'm sure it's a lot of fun to fool around on. I've been a huge fan of Fable, so I was really looking forward to the new game. I do think that Fable does need a mix up, only because they've brought the hero of Albion so far, and if they were to continue the advancing time periods for Fable, sooner or later, your Hero would be close enough to present time. In my opinion, when I think of Fable, I think of Will, Skill and Strength, as old style magic, swords, and crossbows/firearms. I personally, do not like the idea of a rail shooter. It could probably be a casual fun time to play with that, but like a few posts above stated, I think the more hardcore fans who admire Fable as an RPG will be harshly dissapointed.

Because swearing makes a game that you don't like into a good one.
 
Why doesn't Molyneux do something good with his time, and add the fable 3 upgrades thing to Fable TLC. i would love to have everyone on this forum to live in my world, because every 3 days i go in slay everyone, and then do the graveyard army of darkness thing

Because making a brand new video game isn't something good to do with your time?

I'm not sure what you're talking about, Raiden. I feel that you're being the usual half-minded fan which doesn't consider the various possibilities of evolution a brand new game can offer to the franchise. Move forward, the world isn't staying around a single video game or the first part of a franchise.
 
I feel as if they arent trying to make a great game and that they are just using the Fable title to grab the cash, because it's called Fable lot's of people are going to but it anyway so it doesn't matter the quality of the game.

I never thought we'd have a fourth installment by now I mean I feel like it was just yesterday that I got Fable 3. The Pc version was so glitchy some people cant even play it thats how bad it is.

Plus so much of the fan base is barred from it because it's a kinect game.

Do you understand that Fable: The Journey is simply a side story and it's not involved with the events of the main storyline?
 
lol yes I understand that very well I dont see how it contradicts anything I said.

They should be putting all their effort into a Fable 4 that could be game of the year instead of making cheap gimmicks a 12 year old would hate.
 
All right i agree with alot of you, putting fable on the kinect sucks. PM made a mistake, lionhead has been riding on the there's no more heros left thing for 3 games now, kinect isn't hardcore, blah blah blah. But just stop hating on lionhead! if you hate the game, then fine pay no attention to it, you don't have to buy it. especially all those people who only enjoyed fable and TLC.
all of you are hating too much just let it go ok? you don't need to make lionhead feel bad about themselves.
 
I kinda want to play it. But it isn't something that will make me shell out the moolah for Kinetic. So in a way I'm also a disappointed fan because when they decided to go the gimmicky route with Kinect, they alienated a lot of old-time fans who has no interest in Kinect whatsoever.
 
well, it is a shame bad attempt to try and make a kinnect game. it won't appeat to us fable fans and no one will buy it.
Therefore, it would be a complete sales failure and they would have to make some quality stuff like fable tlc again.
hope fable 4 will be like fable:reach or something. Otherwise, if they keep going forward then it will be like albion(brition) hero trying to kill hitler.
 
If their calling it Fable 4, then chances are that its NOT a prequel... Fable: The Old Kingdom souns more like a proper prequel title, if you ask me...

Back to the Journey, I will stand my ground and say that I am looking forward to this game. I've read The Balverine Order, and according to it, there are many more sides to Albion than the Industrial one. At last, we don't see any "beautiful" Albion folk. We'll be met with awesome vistas, rural landscapes, treacherous cliffs, and untouched forests. I don't mind it flopping as a failure of a game, as long as I get to see this wonderful side of Albion.
 
kinect isn't necessary under any circumstances needed to make a good game. look at gears and halo, if it wasn't for halo there wouldn't be any Xbox 360 all people would remember is yeah i had that, games suck though. fable halo and gears showed what direction game designers should steer to but Microsoft thought people would like it better if they steer away from that to make more money. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! i'm a halo and gears fan but if they ever made a game that was exclusively kinect i would say they probably killed the series. i'm not hateing on kinect but do you really want to be in your room/ living room jumping around and have your parents think "were did i go wrong with him" i would pay peter a million dollars to either drop the kinect or drop the entire game and go straight to fable four and i promise you million of people agree with me when i say that so far kinect is the only thing in the world that could actully kill a whole game series in a snap.

but probably after selling like five games there going to start asking were they went wrong and for any company there forum is the first place to look

Agreed, but Kinect could easily be implemented into casual and hardcore gaming with it's Microphone and skeletal tracking. I wouldn't mind seeing it in more games if it's optional.

And there's an edit button, no need to triple post.
