Red Dragon question

So I managed to get a score of 176 (phew) in the Westcliff Shooting Range, and as a result I got the Red Dragon. I noticed when I fired there was a mini explosion, making me go " it's powerful". But then I checked the base damage and it's only 41 (or something; I haven't played all week). So how can a gun with 41 base damage set off an explosion?

The explosion you saw is probably just a special effect for the Red Dragon since it's a legendary weapon.

Also, the Red Dragon's base damage may not be as high as a Master Clockwork Pistol, but it has a VERY fast rate of fire and an even faster reload time.

Yes, but still. A gun that does explosions should have a base damage of at least 120 in my opinion.

In my opinion a gun that explodes should be taken to the gun store to be fixed.jk.
But yea it has a very loud explosion too and dragons are usually pretty powerful in my opinion so yea i think it should be stronger and maybe shoot fireballs...lol

Base damage doesnt matter, a hero's accuracy matters, and if you want base dame of 120 plus get blunderbusses. And if you have the knothole island just get a master clockwork pistol and put four augments

Actually, the base damage of the gun might not say that it's powerful, but it really is. I have a maxed out character in skill, strength, and will, and every time I lock on to someone with the Red Dragon, I aim for the head and it nearly blows their head off every time. The red dragon is the only gun i ever use. And I have 3 if anyone wants one

How the hell did you get three., oh wait trading lol. Bt why would you need 3 ?

anyway on my female characters, since i dont max out physique they become extremely weak with melee weapons, so i have to resort to skill. Im just saying cuz physique is the strength equivalent to accuracy, from this i assume that accuracy is important to skill users , otherwise it would take forever to kill something. and aiming with the y button is the best since you can rapid fire.

The enforcer works best in large crowds. And in my opinion it looks cooler than the red dragon

I got a perfect crucible on the first crucible on one of my files, Beat that troll with a red dragon in perfect time, sucks that i didnt get a prize, im assuming cuz it was the first time in the story. I tried a second time and failed:'(

i would LOVE a Red Dragon. But as it sounds i'm pretty crap at the shooting range, just shows have shedloads of gold can't get you everything...

The base damage of the red dragon is low but the augments on it are pretty good because devastation makes it do more damage and i forgot about the other one

I tried it 10 times but when i got a score of 173 i wanted to rhrow the controller out of the window.
Didnt do that controllers are too expensive.

The devastation augment and it's obnoxiously fast rate of fire and reload more than make up for it. Also unlike the perforator it doesn't scare people away from you. It's full of epic win.
