Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Sorry for going this far into the future even though Fable 3 hasn't even came out yet.

Okay, so your character in Fable III goes to Rome in the very end to beat up the big bad boss guy or something, which will hopefully be harder than Lucien. But you can't explore it, and you will only be able to walk around an extremely small part of it. In the end, you get a video of some characters saying things and then a baby crawls up and your hero looks at him and then everyone replies to him not saying anything and say things like, "Your staying here to protect and train that baby?" But you get a message saying "Return to ______ Docks" and you have to click it.

So, in Fable 4 you get the Roman gladiator desert thief/assassin theme and you actually start as a baby in the tutorial. You'll learn how to pick up things because like it'll say and you'll need to pick up thing like rattles.

I'd rather like to see the fable series to end with 3, games that generally pull forward to long become water washed.

I'd love Fable to be a trilogy but PM said there'd be five Fable games.

Did you imagine this or is it posted somewhere, or...?

Yea. There were supposed to be 5.
And yea, was this made up or not? If not wheres the source?

Dude... then like... ugghhh....

Anyway, what kind of Rome are you talking about anyway? Like the Rome with that Colosseum and everything? Because that is way far back Behind of Fable Time. And there is no Rome in the Fable World. The Only places I know of is Samarkand and Albion.

That's exactly what happens at the end of Assassin's Creed 2. And when you say that your character goes to Rome, I hope you mean a Fable equivalent to Rome.

Meh, doesn't sound too bad, but it doesn't wow me.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Yeah, I mean a Fable version of Rome with a bit more "fabley" into it. And Lionhead would find a way to make it cooler but wouldn't it be awesome fighting in a thief assassin dessert village?

But I agree, that would be before Fable's time. But maybe there could be some snowglobe like in the Fable 2 DLC that brings you back in time.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

you are lucky i am Reluctant to go mad over this fake topic, its misleading.

no, just no

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Is this a **** take on Assassin's Creed?

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

I don't want to **** on your idea dude, I'm sure in the right hands something like that could work... But I think in the Fable timeline, the Roman occupation of Britain is mirrored by the old Kingdom, despite the fact that it was a wholly self-contained empire, home-grown in its country of origin.

If we are to believe That the period before the Old Kingdom was Celtic in it's cultural forms, similar to the iron age which would explain the rise of William Black as a powerful blacksmith, then the Old Kingdom is the revolution that brought architecture, monotheistic faith and high culture to a primarily nomadic society: The Roman Empire. This is followed by the empire's fall and a decent into the dark ages which, in our world, saw the occupation of germanic and nordic mercenaries, whos guidence from the imperial teachings of their previous employers and predecessors, allowed them to create a cultural emalgamation with mainland britain. This could be viewed as the Rise of Nostro and the creation of the Guild of Heroes. We know what follows that, of course (fall of the mercenary rule, reinstatement of monarchy and industrial revolution).

Fable is nice and English, dude... I don't think a foreign focal region would be well accepted.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

There is no guarantee that all Fable games (which, by the way, may vary well exceed five games. I'm pretty certain what PM said was that there will be at least five games, or that that was his original thought) will all play out after the previous game; not even in the same world, although it's not very likely there will be another world or universe in the Fable series. Fable IV could take place in the Old Kingdom, or even before that. I wonder, though.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

I'd like that! A bit of Celtic Fable, or a large scale imperial setting in the Old Kingdom!

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

I can't really say I'm to keen. I like Fable how it is. I personally believe that Aurora is stretching it a little. I think having a Fable styled Rome wouldn't fit. I didn't even like the idea of a colosseum in Fable 2.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. WTF would be the point of going to Rome? Keep Fable in Britain, or else GTFO/.

Britain? Are you kidding me? And even if you consider Albion to be Britain (rather a Fable counterpart of it) Aurora is another continent/country, which means Fable III won't stay in "Britain." Now, you GTFO. ^^

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

This is a stupid conversation. Fable isn't set in Britain, it's set in Albion. Rome doesn't exist in the same universe as Albion.

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Isnt Albion some island? (i googled it lol)
And Yea. I honestly think this was a very pointless conversation

Re: Roman Theme picking up after Fable III!

Albion is what England was called before Rome conquered it.
