In the following post I do not intend to offend anyone:
The first one is just awful,read some tuts.Your focal point is not well placed,your lightning is off.
Fourth one is just text slapped on a background,the text does not blend with the background,this is nowhere near decent,it is not even a real sig.
Last one is half-decent at best,again just textblack stripe is not doing you any favours either,I dont think you did anything regarding the lightning.Third one is ok,nothing special,decent at best,text is rather bad,the lightning should be better,the focal point is ok.The only decent sig is the second one,the focal should be a litlle more to the right and the render should blend with the bg better,and you should never pu boarders,especially not black.

I did not mean to offend anyone,I just wanted to give some constructive critisicm.

I have paint.net. I design album art for small, local bands. I dont do anything major with my artistic career, and my recent projects haven't been turning out good, but I dont need a lecture over my 5 sec sig. It wasn't made for everyone to adore. I just wanted to try to be an active contestant in the poll.

Saying 'no offense' doesn't just make everything you say okay. Think before you post. And really? You're just trying to give constructive criticism?

You don't need photoshop to be a graphic designer. You don't even need Photoshop to be a good graphic designer. I would even argue that GIMP is better.

It all depends on the artist, not the software being used. There are those who have created masterpieces in MS Paint, while there are many who simply copy & paste a few images together in Photoshop.
