Skyrim: Imperial Legion or Stormcloacks

"The next Imperial I see is dead." - Every single Stormcloak Soldier in the game.

That choice would make for some awkward situations. All the time.
it shure did
(had to stop myself from useing a MLP meme here. Youre welcome)
but yeah it was funny at times...
ahhh the memories... good times...good times

I'm going to side with the Forsworn...

just saying

Well, I'm playing as a Nord. So siding with the Stormcloaks seemed pretty set-in-stone. But after witnessing these two Nords pick on this Dark Elf lass, I was like aw hell naw. The Stormcloaks seem to have an almost unfair approach to things. They only seem to care about the Nords. And that ain't cool yo. Whereas, the Imperials seemed to show favour to all races. They had their reasons for accepting the unfair conditions of the treaty with the Aldmeri Dominion, and that was to allow their citizens to live to see another day and to rebuild their forces. Yeah, they tried to chop off my head, but to be fair, alot of people have tried to kill me in this game, so s'all good. I take my morality very srsly. Even in vidyah gaems.

On the other hand... I did think it was rather unfair that the Imperials weren't going to give Ulfric a fair trial.

Okay, I'll stop now. Enough nerd knowledge for one day.

As far as I can tell, the Stormcloaks have not made any negative comments towards the other races. Their goal of liberating Skyrim, the homeland of the Nords, is of course going to revolve around the Nords moreso than the other races.

Ulfric may seem like he's just your average innocent nationalist, but racism does appear mostly in Windhelm, which is the Stormcloak's main seat of power. I'm pretty sure I heard a Nord citizen of Windhelm say that Ulfric hastily sends out soldiers if a Nord village is pillaged, but if a Khajiit caravan is attacked he turns a blind eye. Which could come down to a simple nationalistic view again. But would Ulfric help out a Skyrim born Dark Elf? Doubt it.

Ulfric being crowned high-king would just cause another civil war.

A Khajiit caravan is not part of Skyrim; a Nord village is. The Stormcloaks aren't out to help every little Nord girl find her sweetroll. They are looking out for Skyrim's best interest, not individuals'.

Fair enough. But just because a Khajiit caravan isn't part of the entire country, doesn't justify not sending aid. A good high-king wouldn't do that.

Utilitarianism then? Aiming for the greater number's happiness while ignoring the suffering of the minority. Not really a great ideal, but meh.

Just saying that when you're liberating a country you can't afford to send men to find everyones' sweetrolls. I doubt they would send guards to help a Nord caravan being attacked. You have to realize that despite the...lacking in impact in the game, Skyrim is supposed to be torn asunder by all out civil war.

Don't know nuthin' bout none o' them fancy spoilers y'all 'r talkin' about.

I went off and power leveled the crap out of my smithing so I'm still very early in the main quest. THOUGH now that I got my daedric armor I'm starting to go back. I just chose imperials because when I hear rebels the 1960's movement comes to mind. I don't want to side with a bunch of hippies so I chose the imperials. Also my guy is the imperial race. Also he looks more bad ass in a bona fide military uniform.

I started wanting to play through like Spartacus but more and more I'm leaning towards playing based on a different personality: Starkiller with an evil persuasion... galactic empire ftw.
My guy has a shaved head and uses two swords so either one could be a match.

I should punch you in the face for calling the true sons and daughters of Skyrim "hippies"!

Galactic Empire you say? Fine, you take the Stormtroopers with useless rifles and armour and I'll take the ragtag rebel army.

The Force is with the Stormcloaks.

That's fine. I like a disciplined army with matching uniforms. You hide in the woods while I chill in a castle with all the wimminz and win I want.

AND THEY'RE NOT USELESS THEY'RE JUST STANDARD ISSUE :'(
