all of those things can hinder your ability to achieve REM sleep, which can cause fatigue during the day...
you need to reach REM levels during sleep in order to maintain normal cognitive functioning...
they don't cause REM sleep, they stop it... which can be very very bad for you over time...

I have that same problem sometimes.. I'll just be up all night not able to sleep for some reason...
or other times I manage to sleep and get woken up by horrible nightmares...

Funny thing is when i was 5 my mom was watching buffy the vampire slayer. So i walked in the room and i saw these vampires on the tv and i got scared and ran out the room. I had nightmares since i was till i was 9 or 10. I guess that could be the cause why i am insomniac even though i dont dream anymore.

there's no need to attack him like that. being an author doesn't mean anything. He can give his opinion on the matter if he wants

does that help you at all, going to bed later and waking up later?
different people's bodies function on different circadian rhythms... which basically means that your body's clock doesn't always think it's time to wake up just cause it's morning... that's why some people are night people or morning people etc...
unfortunately the real world doesn't always let us sleep and eat when our bodies would like us to, but if you are more comfortable with those sleep times then you should try to stick to them as much as possible as you will feel a lot better

Re: Sleeping makes me tired =x

^^lol dude im joking around, ok? its alright, no ones attacking anyone.

...what:noexpression:.....

well, when you're tossing and turning you're not fully asleep... so that's more a problem of being tired due to not falling asleep than to wasting energy...
