Something is wrong with my game...

Something is wrong with my game...

I am sorry if this isn't the right place for this...

I noticed that Darkwood is messed up, the "atmosphere" is all wrong. The day sky is a normal blue sky! Also when I go to the chapel of skorm the "red glow of evil" is gone and the hobbe cave is too bright.

All I've done (that I know of) is remove the files(?) to make the hero old. Apparently I messed something else up...does anyone know how to fix it?

Try putting the files back and see if it fixes itself.

Also, instead of removing the files, you should have used Fable Explorer to change the values of something or other... There's heaps of tutorials on it.

I used Fable Explorer, I followed the "anti-aging" tutorial found elsewhere in this forum (which instructs you to find the "old age" files-for lack of a better term- and delete them). I thought I followed the instructions, but I did have a hard time finding it initially, so i wouldn't put it past myself to mess something up along the way.
Sorry that wasn't made more clear in my initial post.

Other Info:
-I am using Vista
-When I run the game from Fable Explorer the problem is still there, also when I run it from FE it tells me that "Splash.exe" is missing.

Im not a modder but im pretty sure it says that sometimes anyway, im sure ive heard people say they have had that message before. However they havent had any effects from it and normally just click past it and continue as usual.

It's Darkwood...but it looks like Greatwood...



There's no evil coming from the place...



It's supposed to be a place of great evil...but it doesn't look like it.



And Hobbe Cave is bright as...as...someplace that isn't a cave.

I had this happen to me also. I reinstalled the game and modded again and it hasn't happened again yet. It's been about 2 months since I reinstalled, and I have done alot of mdding since then.

The same happened to me. Try modding your files or just resave them using the latest FE and XML file, and that should fix it. This worked for me, and the weather is back to normal :D
