Spell Selector Preferences

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

^I'll do the same.

But my crucible set is different from my regular set, since time control screws you up in there.

Normal:

5. Time control
4. Inferno
3. Blades
2. Lightning
1. Time Control

Crucible:

5. Lightning
4. Inferno
3. Blades
2. Inferno
1. Lightning

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

5-Shock
4-Blades
3-Flame
2-Raise dead
1-Time Control(Assassin's Rush)

shock at level 5 is one of the better ones because it incapacitates your enemies. the go all rigid and can't move so you just cut them down and finish them off in one hit. too easy

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

 well..... i sertanly need to find a better combo.

5shock
4shock
3shock
2shock
1shock

i expected myself to be a mage in this game, like i usually was in fable 1. i tend to use guns the most though (rarely used bows in fable 1). O.o

actually, i have only ever used inferno, shock, and slow time. never once used the others. im ashamed to call myself a will user.

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

Teleporting with time control tier 1 is fun. Reminds me of Shadow Stepping in GW. ;D

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

5. Tornado
4. Tornado
3. Tornado <--- it can suck up enemies and kill them :D
2. Tornado
1. Tornado

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

Strange. I have read a guide at IGN, and it said Vortex isn't recommended, as it's a waste of experience. O.o

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

why would you listen to them? they get paid to rate games....

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

No idea actually. I just thought I should mention it.

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

5- Raise the Dead/Vortex/Inferno/Chaos/Shock
4- Inferno/Shock
3- Shock/Time Control
2- Chaos
1- Swords/Time Control

It really depends on what i am feeling like that day, i mostly like to do the assassin rush because it is awsome but then it varys if i feel like shooting swords out of my hands. Hate Force push because i find it useless. Chaos is just fun to use. Shock is fun on lvl 3 for some reason and time control works well on lvl 3. I don't care weither i use shock/inferno on lvl 4 because to me they are the same but meh. Lvl 5: "Vortex" destroys everything, "Shock" is awsome! "Raise the Dead" just is plain awsome spirts last so long its awsome. Finally "Chaos" turns them in to my slave which is awsome and it is what i like to do most of the time. But pretty much i mostly use "Raise the Dead" because it is just plain awsome:D:D:D:D:D

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

WOW i say awsome alot i need to open up my vocab

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

thats a great idea. im going to put the "assasings rush" in first slot from now on!

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

wow, i never thought of using asassins rush like that...i may just have to xD.

As for the usefulness of force push...the surround can be very helpful, i've found, in the crucible. Only at least powered to Lvl. 3 against the bandits. It saves a lot of time pushing them off of the suspended bridge, and again off of the cliff in the subsequent round.

Probably the one spell i've had the hardest time putting to good use is Chaos...can anyone give me a few suggestions?

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

1. Shock
2. Inferno
3. Force Push
4. Vortex
5. Blades

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

The only spell I've ever found a practical use for is Raise Dead. They distract enemies 90% of the time. Literally causing bandits and Hollow men to stop dead in their tracks, turn around, and go after the shadows I summon. Initially, the small Hobbe-esque shadows are offensively useless. I've seen them beat up on a single beetle for a considerable amount of time and never kill it. If I raise something like a Bandit or a Balverine though, the wraiths suddenly become very deadly.
They can also watch your back in Wraithmarsh when you open treasure boxes. You know the places. The ones where Hollow men love to cheap shot you from behind?

On my third play through I used Raise Dead from the get go-- and I suffered only 6 hits the entire game. SIX. I got them from the Commandant, who ignores the shadows for some reason and zeroes in on you mercilessly. Trolls ignore them too, but troll attacks are easy to dodge.

Raise Dead turns just about every fight into a danger free headshot shooting gallery.

Re: Spell Selector Preferences

Hmm, not that you're talking about Raise Dead anyway; I wonder if your wraiths could become a Banshee. That is, if they kill her - I don't know if that would be possible - never tried it before.

But yea, Raise Dead is one of the few very efficient spells.
