Sport Games.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any newer sport games. I used to play NBA Jam (I think) and NFL Street and they were amazing, but I got out of looking at sport games, so I was wondering what's good in that genre recently?

Other than FIFA or any Soccer games.

They remade NBA Jam for the Wii, looks as awesome as it did when it came out on the Sega Genesis.

You can try out Fight Night Round 4 & UFC Undisputed 2009.

Re: Sport Games.

FIFA 10. If you're into football/soccer.

Re: Sport Games.

I never liked sports games. Just boring to me. Unless you play with a bunch of friends.

Re: Sport Games.

UFC Undisputed 2010 is out next month (which is looking superb and ive preordered today).

Re: Sport Games.

UFC is pretty much awesomeness by default, but can you really classify it as a "sport game" though? Haha. I had one for my old Dreamcast and I loved it. I think I'll go put a pre-order down on this one!

Re: Sport Games.

I wouldn't either, but technically UFC is a sport. Although I've never really found the show very appealling myself, and I don't really like the game that much. But that is probably because button mashing doesn't work as well as I want it to.

F-yeah! Brock Lesnar is gonna be included. Pre-order now placed. :w00t:

Im a UFC fan and though UFC Undisputed 2009 was a superb title, had its issues no doubt and online was a joke but for a first game by them it was pretty good. The sequel is looking really impressive though and ive been following its development since they started making it and the improvements are vast and the games shaping up to be much better than the first.

Button mashing will get you knocked out or submitted. The ground game in it is really deep and quite technical. Took me months to get used to it properly.

Re: Sport Games.

Of course UFC is a sport. A sport is the involvement of athletic competition, just like boxing and amateur wrestling.

But it is more like cockfighting in comparison to dog racing to be honest.

Fifa world cup title is out before that and although id normally avoid the cash in titles of sports games ive heard that its meant to be an improvement over the awesome Fifa 10. They took good parts of that engine and have advanced it from the article i was reading on IGN not to long ago.
