The new Texas history book removes Jefferson from history, shows the anticommunism blacklists of the Cold War as a good thing, focuses heavily on Christian influences and limits Latino history and culture, including eliminating Simon Bolivar, and shows the Confederacy in a good light.

PLEASE, I know most of you are thinking "lolwut? face book petetion? That'll work." But we have to start somewhere. I know a huge portion of you aren't even in america, but we need every voice we can get.

dunno, dunno, dunno, dunno, dunno, you mean david bowie right? :lol:, dunno, hero who fought in the alamo and has a lot of fairytales made up about his life, dunno, the last stand against mexico fighting over texas (IN texas amiright?), Mexico won...i think, dunno but there's a movie about it, six flags is great i've been there several times myself.

an entrepeneur who holds the record for biggest jailbreak, a 3 sta general, a governor, a senator, dunno, senator who fought his way to being president. he was a very disagreeable man and is often misportrayed as a good president (which overall i don't think he was)
wasn't it 5 years because he took over for kennedy??

okay, overall my history sucks... but texas is reputed as having the best school system in the country right now. no matter what they pick and choose to teach, that isn't going to change.

My poor home state. I blame this on Rick Perry, d**mn p**sy, (Texas Governer)He is punishing the people of Texas because they voted against a multi-billion dollar highway bill that would force many of us out of our homes (my house would have been bulldosed for this highway). And he'll probaly get re-elected.

^I know it probably isnt rick perry's fault but I blame all the crap that goes wrong here on him.

people read the op, and reply how they want. you do it, i do it, i fail to see why it's a problem... :unsure:
