AARGH! Stupid stupid XBOX with its stupid stupidness!!!1111one

Signed in today so I could get some of those lovely achievements I adore so much on Fable 2 and what happened? 180 gamerpoints are missing.

Could not be more annoyed right now. So now I have to do the gambling one again, the romantic one, the Black Knight and the stupid Real Estate one...grrrr...

But at least I have the Chicken Suit now (thanks MagnaSparda!) and I intend to wear it until my Fable 2 disc blows up :D

I think it's because I earnt them whilst offline with my gamertag on another xbox...I was playing Gears with Steve downstairs online but Fable 2 upstairs offline and so the achievements haven't been logged to my gamertag...which is weird coz before I re-downloaded it for online play upstairs, I had all the achievements logged on my tag but once the download was complete, it wiped them off.

Made me sad... :(

you know what is also annoying... I want the ODST helmet and Katana for my halo 3 spartan yet I Need Live for them! it sucks!!!!!1!
but I know how you feel I lost a Dead Rising acheivement! and my only C&C 3 acheivement so far!

Maybe it will just take a little time to add them after you recovered the tag and then logged into Live again?

Doesn't look like it...I managed to salvage one achievement (the Gargoyle one) by visiting the Gargoyle Trove and it unlocked instantly (that was the one I was really hoping I wouldn't have to re-earn) but the Swinger, Property Magnate, Black Knight and Party Animal had to be re-done, much to my annoyance.

It also means I have to go around buying all those stupid properties again for the 100G points...and I just can't be bothered, aside from anything else.

The only thing that has slightly mollified me is my new Chicken Suit, some amazing weapons, lots of gold and the dolls - all from MagnaSparda - but I think it sucks how it wiped my score...it's pathetic enough as it is without losing points...

Ouch. I remember when all my Saint's Row achievements were gone. About 500 or so, all gone. And I was NOT doing them again. Don't think I have touched the game since. I was fairly p'oed at that point. You love it and hate it at the same time. Right now I am not loving mine too much. Was hoping that I could get a guitar for Christmas, but nooo my parents are going to buy me another Xbox 360. Was really looking forward to learning how to play it, and I already had a little experience. How do I get so off topic all the time???

Anyways, good luck with regaining all those achievements. I don't have the persistence to re-earn anything. :lol:

lol - I just think to myself "I could really do without this right now" but at least I don't have to do anything difficult - just tedious. I'd be more annoyed if all my Gears of War 2 achievements had been wiped because it took me a good long while to get through the game on Hardcore and I don't relish the thought of doing it again any time soon :lol:

I haven't completed the first gears but I really like Gears 2...you might find it an easier intro to the game series (even if it won't make much sense in terms fo stuff that happened in gears 1) because, personally, I reckon it was easier than Gears 1...but still challenging enough to really enjoy.

I managed to get all but one of the missing achievements back this afternoon - the Gambler only required me to play half a game of Keystone before it unlocked, which was a relief because it took me a while to get the achievement the first time around...

yup thats about it for gears one. I so want GoW 2 but i need to run through the rest of the achievments on Fable, dito for SR2 and fallout 3 THEN i wanna do another mass effect run through but this time be evil. Its a hard life ain't it ;)

I still need The Gambler one. I just suck at the games though. Keystone is just annoying. But from what I understand you need to just play all games and then in one of them win 500 gold? Because I can not do any good at keystone. I am not the luckiest person in the world, as you can see.

Can imagine im going to have some issues getting that achievement too as i have no patience for the games.

Yeah, just play each game just once - you don't have to sit through hours of them all - and then play one until you get 500. I got that with Fortune's Tower but if you play Spinner Box it doesn't take too long to get 500 either (well, I've hit 500 twice and played Spinner Box about 8 times)

I liked Fortune's Tower in the Pub Games trial. I was somewhat good at it.

And do you have to get the pub games to get certain Expressions? Because that would suck. I'll be the only one without all the achievements. I can't even get The Romantic, no matter how hard I try. But, Fable will have to wait, as soon as I get home I am gonna do the update, and play WaW. Great BDay gift in my opinion!

Easiest way to get Romantic achievement, IMO, is to pick a person with a favourite place and two favourite expressions - I got some woman who liked the pub in Bowerstone Market to follow me in there and then did one of her favourite expressions and the achievement unlocked.

Get them liking you first as well - I tried it with someone who was only about 30% interested in me and I couldn't get her to follow me or even react to the things I was doing...

lol - yeah, some of the people will be happy with a pie and a thumbs up, which is super handy. Better than someone who requires dreadlocks, hat headband and moustache and the Drowned Farm in Wraithmarsh which invariably means they'll be dead long before you can complete their requirements...
