dammit stop replying to my posts before i'm done editing.
i'm a recursive poster, i can make as many as 5-6 edits before i'm through. i changed that word. :P

xD
Then... Don't post until you're sure you're done? :P Anyway: It gets too complex to argue about something, if it even involves different prospects of truth. If one says he holds a fact, and the other is so much wiser/dumber as too believe it's but an opinion, you can never look at something in the same way the other person does. In that way, it's litterally impossible to convince someone of your beliefs, unless that person somehow drastically changes his mindset. I actually agree with Hassan-i Sabbah's wise words, here:
''Nothing is true.'' (Traditionally followed by ''everything is permitted'')

yeah, but when it comes to a discussion calling something an opinion is traditionally used as a way of downplaying their word and excluding it from said discussion. saying it applies only to them, and is therefore permissable to be overlooked by everyone else.

now you're just not making any sense.

The last sentence was hard to follow. Hm.... Anyway, you can call everything an opinion, and that's fine; as long as everyone agrees that their own view is also but an opinion. But if everyone believes in a different 'truth', it's even difficult to convince the other that what he said is just his opinion. :P

No sense? So you can't wait to post, until you're sure you got your post right? You have to post it, and then edit it? xD
Never mind...

why should you have to? it's implied that it's their opinion. it's based on experiences and facts that they deem to point towards their conclusion. people shouldn't need to say "IT'S NOT A FACT IT'S JUST MY OPINION" because to them it is a fact.
so no, nobody has to agree to having to admit their view point solely as their opinion. it's up to you to decide if you want to take it that way. when you look at a debate, it's demeaning and insulting to them and the point they are trying to make to suddenly say "that's just your opinion" if they're hoping for a rebuttle, or if they've got you in a mental checkmate.

what you're describing is a discussion made of bright colors made of plastic with no sharp edges and cushions on every side. if someone can't handle that they may come out on bottom, best to stay out of it.

i swear, man. i'm sure this is logic on your end, but all i'm getting is gibberish. could you try using a thesaurus? :cheez:

Maybe I'm explaining it wrong? I'm trying to describe what I mostly see on ProjectEgo discussions. Often, people are willing to admit that what they think is good or bad, is their opinion. Even if it's when they think it's a fact, but they say it's an opinion to satisfy the other person. In this case, though, it was about whether or good and bad themselves can be measured objectively, or not, which is somewhat different. Also, because of the complexity of what I think is complex, it's hard to explain it so that you can see it the same way I do. Anyway, this isn't even on topic anymore. =|

You said you regularly take 5 or 6 edits to finish your post, so I thought it would be a good idea to not post it right away, but first look for things you can do better, as to prevent having to edit it. =|

it stopped being on topic a long time ago, but its far from spam.
regarding what you posted: i think we settled that in a compromise on the last page. the word "VICTORY" comes to mind for some reason.
i was talking to arseface about something different which you seem to have misinterpreted.

troll

A troll in the sense of an internet troll has many different meanings. Not all trolls go to a message board and spam it with flames, racism, and Goatse before getting banned 5 minutes later. Trolling is a hobby in the same vein as prank phone calls, and the true objective of trolling is to be clever and creative in getting a reaction out of the troll victims.
Skilled trolls especially like trolling large-scale websites such as MySpace or LiveJournal where it is harder to get banned. Trolling a site such as GameFAQs is more difficult, as the TOS is very strict and the moderators are harder on trolls.

No, I meant I'm talking about useless sutff, myself. Feel free to discuss with Arseface; I don't think I have anything to contribute anymore, other than trying to repeat an re:repeat stuff, in a different wording. :P

What is this I don't even

???

I'll take that as a compliment, since I have NO idea what you're trying to say. :P
