^ there are some theaters that play old/already released movies. probably so younger generations or people who just missed out could have a chance to see it on the big screen.

exactly. the hurt locker did not get as much exposure to the public as it could have. since it just won best picture, it's a good time for a theater to start playing it. ^_^
