The Next CoD?

So, what are your ideas on the next Call of Duty game? What do you want it to be? What do you think it will be? We know that Treyarch is probably going to make the next one, then after, IW.

So, since IW is working on MW, and WWII is a cow that has been milked to death, I think they should make... Call of Duty: Vietnam.

But a more interesting, but less likely game, WWI. Now THAT would be awesome.

Your ideas?

Meh..... I don't think I'd enjoy a WWI game.
I quite liked Conflict Vietnam, so that might be ok, but I generally don't like the Treyarch games.

They did impliment a few good MP features, though. Like joinable squads, being able to back out with your party so that one guy who never backs out properly makes it out, and joinable part lobbies.

Medieval? That actually sounds... Pretty freakin' cool. I wouldn't mind that... If Treyarch actually pulled it off, that is.

Those are my ideas, but personally I find CoD lacking.

A problem with Medieval Warfare: The game has to appeal to a mass audience of idiots and little kids who have an overly large obsession with guns.

I'm fairly certain it won't be set in medieval times, unless they somehow create several different variations of bows, crossbows and handheld cannons.

One scenario I think is possible would be the American Civil War - it's a little edgy but plausible.

Vietnam wouldn't work, as it was convetional warfare against guerilla warfare, and covention got its ass kicked. It would be a First Person shoot so much as a first person being blown up while communist soldiers ambush you.

That is why it would be so interesting: You lose. It would also be pretty cool to be the Vietnamese and ambushing American soldiers. :lol:

But Treyarch won't touch MW, and I don't think you want them to. And Treyarch and IW make games in alternation, so what should Treyarch do?

I don't think enough time has passed for a CoD Vietnam. I know my mom would either flip out or be extremely happy because she is a Vietnamese immigrant from that time.

I'd like to see a Call of Duty: Futuristic Warfare. That'd be just a big Halo rip off but a lot better.

Modern Warfare is about current conflicts. It might not be the same, but still, it is just a game.

EDIT: Ninja'd. And the weapons wouldn't look like waterguns from Wal Mart.

Have any of you played Men of Valor for the Xbox/PC? That's a vietman war game. Pretty good too.

I cant find the link but treyarch comfirmed it to be COD vietnam. and all i know its gonna be a meh 7/10 game that will hold people off a little while till the next call of duty title if they make it right or MW2 will rule and Vietnam will sink
