They don't make 'em like this no-more...

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

Nobody else watched Rocky's Modern Life then? Hell, the more I think of it, the more it amazes me it was actually aired. If anything it should've been classified as "adult animated shows" like those on Adult Swim.

With all the more-than-obvious innuendos, it is almost downright smut, hahah.

(oh and it's Rocko's btw.)

OH SNAP! I just looked it up on wikipedia, I used to love that show XD... The name didn't really stand out though, Ive forgotten alot of the amazing cartoons.. :(.

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

Another show that was awesome was this sort of fantasy-pirate show. I can't remember the name, but I do recall that a major element of the show was some sort of "evil water" which looked like black oil and ate people or something....

Mhmm.. (Shh! Guys I think he's gone crazy) Nah lol, alot of the older shows had some crazy stuff goin on lol.

Idk why but ive always liked Rugrats also.

Loved Rocko's modern life... And whatever happened to them showing three hours of Looney Tunes, and the good anime? (They used to show Dragonball, Death Note, Pokemon, exc, now it is like 80% Inuyasha)

Ah, here it is.

Oh yeah. Look at that! That's the main villain. They just don't make villains that badass these days! You'd think that a fat guy, wearing sandals and purple clothing wouldn't be anything but utterly silly, but....

Bad. Ass.

Anyone here liked Samurai Jack? It was one of my favorites.

How has no one mentioned Invader Zim yet? That's the best kid's cartoon I've ever seen. I have all the episodes on DVD.

Courage was alright, but it wasn't one of my favorites.

I still watch quite a bit of Sponge Bob. Everyone says that the newer episodes aren't good, but I still like them. I think the best ones are from around the middle of its career.

Flapjack is amazing. It's so obscure, but it's funny as hell. I have my DVR set to record every episode that's not already recorded.

I really need to watch Adventure Time too.

Oh, oh! I almost forgot! Nicktoon Network is airing the first part of Dragon Ball Z Kai at 8:00 PM on May 24!!! :D I believe it's the entire Saiyan Saga.

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

I remember watching Tom & Jerry with my grandpa, lol. (Excrement was EXTREMELY currency)
Courage the Cowardly Dog was AWESOME, I loved that show... Even though it used to freak me out and a few episodes I just watched with nothing but a "wat" expression on my face. Tom & Jerry will always be a favorite of mine for the fact that it's got soooo much violence without any blood (such as when Tom gets cut in half, and his top half just continues to bounce off the bottom half as he walks).

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

i miss all the old cartoons :(

the problem with modern kids shows is Steve Oedekerk, creator of those awful movies known as the Kung Pow series. the only good movie he's turned out is bruce almighty... which speaks volumes about how hit or miss he is considering he did the "sequel" evan almighty.

he started it all with a decent show, fairly oddparents. then he moved on to crap like back in the barnyard and started a trend of the most absolutely ****ty television i've ever seen. SERIOUSLY! i can feel my brain rotting while i watch the new stuff next to my brother.

the only new show i like is chowder.
the rest should just be replaced with reruns of the good old days. :(

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

Kung Pow! Enter the fist is the best movie ever.

You do realize it is made out to be terrible, right? It is not supposed to be a serious movie.

Re: They don't make 'em like this no-more...

^ I can some what agree with you I like many of the old shows but well the new shows like chowder, mis-adventures of flap jack, and Adventure time are righteous once you agree with you're childish side and the cartoonist still put much time and mind into creating these animations. Keep in mind today's children are smarter then us at that age you've got the internet to thank for that.

ninja'ed :(

Lol, if our young are retarded then I agree.

Read what you said again and think why would a big company just target retards.

Nvm, It's best to just agree.
