Someone really ought to kick those contest threads out, I hate having to scroll down to see recent posts.

Was there ever a time before spam? That stuff will survive nuclear wars with cockroaches. Oh wait... you mean the other spam.

Umm anyway I am borderlining on spam here myself. I understand about the stickies. Not enough to complain about them, but since someone mentioned it, I could do without them. I'm not gonna be terribly upset if they stay either.

I remember when Everyone got along better, not as many arguements.. not as much spam.. not as much non-active users..

That's fine too. Stickies seem kinda silly to be sentimental about though. I see a lot of talk about how good this place used to be. I understand liking the 'good ol days' but not all of us new folk are spammers. Seems like just because someone wasn't posting here six months ago or longer is a poor reason to alienate someone.

A number of the stickies remain because we do get new people all the time and if they can get the answer to what they want without having to scroll through page after page of vageuly associated threads then it's worth the inconvenience.

The competition threads will be unstickied when I have five minutes to spare. As for the others, well we have stickied the most popular ones (like Ask the Staff Anything) or Top Stats threads so that we don't get a myriad of identical ones littering the place. Better to have them all in one than twenty of the same.

There is still a lot of older stickies though. The contest ones were just real dated not seeing any activity.
