Signing out of live should help. It happened to me several times. Rebooting also helps.

This happened to me last night! My friend, at first, couldn't find me, so instead of meeting out in public, we went to a less occupied area (like the Chamber of Fate), and she found me there.

It isn't a real fix, but it could help you!

i had the same problem whyle trying to get my HR coat he gave it to me but i could not give my reddragon to him. so i logged off them met him in fair fax castle and then i could see him
