This show will be ****

I liked the song in that ad, nothing else. Anyway, theres a show on in Britain called Episodes. It makes fun of these sorts of things. Plus Matt LeBlanc guests in quite a few of the episodes, as one of those actors hired to play a role that wasn't meant for him. To the guy who made this thread, watch it, I'm sure you'll find it amusing.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's terrible. I don't like the actors, and it seems like they're trying to make it like Jersey Shore or some other MTV show. It's not Skins. Same as some would say Fable 3 isn't Fable-y. Lionhead could remake Fable 1 using 2's and 3's engine, but it still ain't no Fable 1.

But Fable 3 isn't even supposed to be like Fable 1, just like I'm sure the American version is Skins isn't supposed to be like the British version. It couldn't be more obvious that you began watching the American version with the British version in mind. Doing that will almost always force you to not like it. Seriously think about what your opinion of it would be if you didn't see the British version.

In addition to that, it makes no sense, saying Fable 3 isn't Fable-y. Lionhead has an idea of what Fable is, and based the three games on that idea. Fable isn't defined by only its first game. :P

Anyway, Skins? What is that? Some Michael Jackson program? I keed, I keed... About that last part. I do't know Skins, and I don't care for it. :P But hey, why should it be bad? Sure there's a chance it wouldn't be like the original, but new version of something should never be a duplicate of the original! ...Right? Anyway, from what I've heard, the original The Office was British. THough, the American version turned out pretty well, right? ...Right...?

I have no idea. However, by looking at this picture, I can see a thousand words, which connected make a small resume of what's this show about.

It's basically about a bunch of British teenagers dealing with crazy ****. It's actually not bad.

Each and every one of those guys is a) jailbit and b) a total twink.

100% turnoff. A name like 'Skins' fails to deliver.

I'm trying not to be biased, but the episodes are exactly the same. No joke, they are 90 % word for word the same.

Nope - the first two seasons weren't bad. And by bad I mean they were tolerable at best. The one thing I dislike the most about it is how crazy everyone went for it. It's not that interesting, the plot's cliched, and the coolest character died. It is extremely overrated, especially now with the churned out crap that is seasons 3, 4 and no doubt 5.

Anyway, my facebook news feed is just filled up by people that are going crazy over the American adaption, calling it a rip off etc. Clearly they have nothing better to do, but it grew on me and I've downloaded the first American episode to compare to the first English episode. Another funny thing - the American adpation has recieved alot of criticism for being too 'dangerous' for young audiences, and it's heavily edited from the UK version.

Well how many episodes of the American version have actually been released yet? The Office was like that too, but it damn sure didn't stay that way.
2 so far.

And incidentally, I just watched about 15 minutes of the first episode and it was pretty poor - I couldn't really care less that it was a remake, but the actors were pretty awful and the most interesting characters (Sid and Cassie) have been turned into generic teenage douchers. I found it harder to sympathise with Sid (or Stanley as he's called in the American one) and Cassie (Cadie) is AWFUL. Cassie is supposed to be a spacey, gentle hippie character, but I felt Cadie was far too down to earth and normal.

I kinda like how they went made the decision that those characters' stories were done, and they introduced a bunch of new ones. I haven't seen them, mind, but from a creative point of view I think that kind of thing needs to happen more.

looking at the picture dONI posted i feel like i'm looking at a much less enjoyable that 70's show with a touch of the jersey shore.

tl;dr not interested. but on the topic of good shows, i'm eagerly waiting for the new spartacus to come out in a few days.

It's not really either of those. It's a drama about a bunch of teenagers dealing with **** that happens. I remember one of them gets hit by a bus, and another one of their parents moves out without telling their son or something. It's pretty interesting.
