Tradition

In spite of breaking the tradition of waiting for someone else to realise that you're having a birthday, I've decided to announce my ascent (descent?) into adulthood myself.

I'M F*CKING LEGAL BABY!!!!!

Yeah...

Re: Tradition

Happeh burfday.

Hope you dun has a gud day, y'all.Hur hur.

So yer legal now, eh?

Go get some cougars and..."Celebrate"

Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Re: Tradition

Already wished you happy birthday but as its your 18th i shall wish you it again.

Im sure you will have a great day, probably not memorable but thats a good thing at 18.

Re: Tradition

Thanks guys.

I had my 18th on Saturday. It wasn't too big (and I didn't get that wasted), but it was pretty fun. You never really realise what's inside your garage until you have twenty drunk people in there throwing old knives and hatchets around.

Re: Tradition

Happy birthday!*

I've been legal for almost two years now, nobody cares.

Re: Tradition

Have another Happy Birthday from me.

Legal? I take it the drinking age in Aussie-land is 18? In the US you're an adult and you can smoke and be drafted and vote and all that fun ****, but you can't legally drink until 21.

So prior to this you were illegal? Should we have contacted the authorities or something?

Hope you had a great birthday and enjoy being 18 - it's all downhill from here :D

Well, it's the legal booze buying age. If you're under 18 and supervised by an adult, pretty much anything goes. Also the definition of the term "supervision" is pretty loose, so it's great.

To be honest, I never really understood why the US laws are like that. Drinking is definitely something that should have looser regulations on it with regards to age, yet it's tighter than everything else.

But I can't really enjoy that one, as I don't smoke. Thanks anyway though

I don't agree there, because I'm really conservative that way. I don't plan on drinking at all, so [shrugs]. I just think it's a bad idea.

I'm just saying that, compared to all the other things that are regulated, such as cigarettes, etc, booze is probably a bit down on the list in terms of things that should be.

Well, I see why they would not allow alcohol till you're 21 over here in America.

The average American would be like, "WOW DUDE, I'M SO FRIGGIN SMASHED, WE SHOULD GO PEE ON THAT ELECTRIC FENCE!"

Then the next day, they'd have a giant hangover and a throbbing penis.

I don't see any reason why 21 year olds wouldn't do that. Anyone will do crazy **** when they're drunk, regardless of their age.

Re: Tradition

Its much better than over here in Sweden - the legal driving and drinking age are both 18.

Hmm

'Dude, I can finally drive a car! And drink, too! Woohoo!'

Much better to space it out, so that when you do drink and drive you've at least got a few years of driving experiance under your belt.
