Just putting this in here: An Ice Age consists of three periods; the first Glacial period, the Interglacial, and the second Glacial.
The Glacials are the actually very cold parts of an Ice Age, and have an average duration of 100,000 years. However, the interglacial is a slightly warmer (but still relatively cold, 'cause it's an Ice Age) period in between, which is about 10,000 years.
We are in an interglacial right now (called the Holocene), and it's been going now for 11,400 years, now (since the Pleistocene). Any moment the second glacial should kick in; then you can talk about cold.
