Valentine's Day: Singles Awareness Day?
It's February 14th and the pungent odor of cheap gas-station roses and the sweet rubbery smell of contraception is in the air. Whether or not you have a significant other can really make or break this "holiday" for you. I, for one, have never been a fan of it. I personally think that it's a ploy for money conceived by card companies and kept going by desperate men thinking that a box of Whitman's and wilted flowers will get them a quick lay.
On the other side of the coin, however, I think that the mopey "No one will ever love meeee! D,:" pathetic, little children of the world need to get a grip on their diapers and on reality as well. Valentine's Day is a day about love and appreciation. You should spend time with people you love, not necessarily a significant lover. In fact, I've always preferred spending the day with my friends rather than going out to an overcrowded restaurant with my boyfriend.
So how do all of you ladies and gents feel about Valentine's Day and if any, what are your plans?
