Vegetarianism

Re: Vegetarianism

My mother is vegetarian. She replaced a lot of meat with soya or vegetarian alternatives. Vegetarian mince, sausages, etc. And to be honest, the vegetarian stuff taste better.

No, you don't need pills.

You can say "If meat wasn't meant to be eaten, why does it taste nice?" but you could also say "If you weren't meant to rape someone, why does it feel good?" It works both ways.

Re: Vegetarianism

Have any of you guys had quail? That stuff's good. People might tell you it tastes like chicken, but I don't think it does. It's much better than chicken.

Let's see...weird meats...hmm...shark is good. And my brother had an emu burger one time. Octopus isn't bad, but it's oh so chewy.

Oh man, I just remembered an awesome meat story:

I was taking a trip with FableFreak and two other guys a while back, and we stopped at his uncle's house for his uncle's 60th birthday party. They were roasting a whole pig, and when it came time to eat, they put out every part of the pig for people to take. People began taking different parts (i got a sh*t ton of ribs), and FF decides to take the head. Yes, the head. Don't get me wrong, it had some good cheek meat (Pig cheek is awesome. It tastes like really rich bacon. It's some of the best meat I've ever had.), but that was about the only desirable thing on the head. FF decides to go in the house and get a huge knife to cut open the skull. He slices it right down the middle, takes a chunk of the brain, and eats it. He said it was extremely disgusting, and it seemed to me like a life changing experience.

Re: Vegetarianism

Kangaroo is awesome meat. Get onto that.

I wonder what human tastes like...

I think it tastes like pig. I think the word "human" is actually derived from a word that means "long pig".

Nope, never ate deer, heard of it though, after eating Cow Brain I am done with "Non supermarket" food. Unless I have some back-up Steak and water.

Mmmm... deer is so good.

Funny how a "vegetarian" thread turned into a meat discussion.

Also, I never had it, but they say gopher meat is delicious.

Re: Vegetarianism

I've also heard that crocodile and snake are great.

Re: Vegetarianism

Is it like a cross between chicken and bacon? That's how I imagine it in my head.

Re: Vegetarianism

I found it to taste unique, I guess the closest thing I could describe it as is what you said Arseface: The crispiness and crunchiness of Bacon and the taste of chicken, you have to be able to either bite around the bone or not mind a little rib in your mouth.

Re: Vegetarianism

Crocodile is alright, Giraffe is pretty good but Zebra is actually quite meh.

Re: Vegetarianism

I had not even fathomed eating Giraffe or Zebra. Droded has just blown my mind!

I swear, I'm going to start eating exotic meat more often (and not in a Thailand transvestite sort of way, either).

It's funny because god's not real..
Don't, ok? Just don't.

Vegetarianism can be very good for you provided you do it properly. Plenty of options to get the vitamins and minerals you need from foodstuffs other than meat and make use of flavours to enhance or disguise the taste of your meals depending, if need be.

I could never be a veggie because I love eating animals too much...om nom nom... but as the following comedy genius says:

The alternative is to be a post modern vegetarian - eat meat ironically
