Um, what? Have you read the thread? None of this is even remotely "space themed." And if it were, I think that WOULD ruin the game.

You could make an argument that drivable vehicles would mess up the pacing/difficulty/feel, or cars would ruin the Fabley tone, but I don't think I'd have much sympathy. People (including me, I think) had the same whiny complaints about guns in F2, and most of us ended up liking them.

I actually have a good feeling about that happening. They already got carages in fable 2, so they're half-way there.

Carriages! But what I did see in Fable 2 snippets was a better AI, citizen AI anyway. It needs horses, even if they're not mounts, which I can live without. Hopefully they can have a sort of lame implementation of horses in Fable II though, I just hope he over-hypes the current information so I know what's released is a guarantee

I wouldn't want modern vehicles but I would like to see horses and maybe even carriages and steam trains.

i doubt fable 3 will have vehicles. im sure i read somewhere that fable 3 is only 50 years after the end of fable 2

You know how in Fable II, many things change from Child to Young Adult, and from Young Adult to... well, old? If they do introduce vehicles in Fable III, perhaps they will show the advancement in technology throughout the Hero's life.

There's the thing. It's "only" fifty years. But to use my favorite example-- it was "only" fifty years from 1903 to 1953.

If you prefer, you can say it was "only" fifty years from 1870 to 1920. Which is a less impressive example, because as far as I know nothing happened in 1970 whereas something very big happened in 1903. Nothing big happened in 1953, but lots of big things were in the process of happening.

Sure! and while were at it lets add some atom bombs and other explosives! and airplanes and speedboats! in fact lets not call it fable anymore! lets call it ****ing stupid. It defeats the purpose of fable. U add vehicles that means were advancing to the 1890s. Then before you know it were playing Fable: War Against Iraq. Vehicles is ****ing stupid.

Lemme try to be polite here: Please stop making unhelpful, unpleasant posts, okay? You can make your points without being a jackass.

The initial comment on vehicles was dealing with HORSES. Are horses not Fabley enough for you? The rest of the discussion, yes, is about the relative merits, likelihood, and suitability of other kinds of transportation. Again, why not try to make a point that's a little less... acerbically phrased.

Also, allow me to direct you to this Wikipedia thread on the slippery slope argument, specifically the "as a logical fallacy" bit. I believe it's relative to the rest of your argument.

i dont think vehicles (even steampowered lame ones) would be suited to a fable game, seeing as fable 3 is likely set in the 1750 - 1800 british microcosmical society, i doubt vehicles will make an appearance, and i pray they won't.

Fable III needs horses. If not to ride, then to pull the carrages. There are carrages in Fable II, nothing pulling them though. I don't care if we never see them actually going anywere with the carrage, the just need to be there.

There's no way there's gonna be any kind of motorcycle in Fable III.
And if there is - then it would be as a joke, like MC armor rifle and sword in Fable II as well as the biker outfit.
Mayyyybe there will be horses, but I seriously doubt that.
Might be otehr dogs for your own dog to interact with or even the dogs of other players, maybe

how about a saddle you can strap on to any nonhuman creature you want from chickens to bulls. if your character is too fat, his animal dies from exhaustion :lol:

"here comes chickenchaser! the hero rumored to have killed hundreds of chickens with his big fat arse!" :lol:

"i hear his saddle is stained with chicken blood and barbeque sauce."

If the bard is annoying you can use him as your own personal royal horse.. on second thought I'd probably use some of the non-male characters as my pony
