Well the statistics are solid... One US veteran commits suicide every 80 minutes. In August this year, the suicide toll passed the combat death toll. F***** up. Opinions?

Oh man, thats awful. Is there nothing being done to help veterans like this? 80 minutes. Its hard to believe soldiers are killing themselves at such a rate.

Only non-profit organizations are assisting veterans. The Government does **** all. In fact the Joint Chief of Staff even asked "Does anybody know why people kill themselves so much? We can't find the answer." Or something along those lines. So they're really just clueless like always. Similar to when they asked the American people how we should fight terrorism. Hahahaha.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder most likely.
Some get it so bad that no amount of counseling can bring them back.
It just goes to show that you can never completely undo military training.

Contrary to all the bullshit you see all the time about support the troops and politicians pretending they care about the troops, the government really doesn't give a **** about them.

Hey, wait a minute, I think I may have stumbled upon a solution. What if we...stopped...fighting...wars...? Hmm...you guys think it could work? :/

Thats like asking Mankind to stop eating or to stop having sex. Its one of the things we're driven to do, fight others and kill them.

I completely disagree with that, but I'm not really looking to get into some kind of massive conversation about it, so for now, I'm content with agreeing to disagree.

WELL F**K YOU. See? People will always find a way to fight over something.

Some kind of unpatriotic, unamerican, commie hippie pig? Gtfo.

They drew first blood, not me.

I think I already mentioned in another thread, but they are currently testing video games as a possible cure for nightmares war veterans are having.

Call of Duty?

That I don't know. The magazine just said gamers have more lucid dreaming so they help cope with the nightmares by simply making the dreamer understand the situation.

What I don't understand is why they keep bringing him back to life if they know he's just going to kill himself in 80 minutes again.
