I think I'll identify their colour by the actual colour of their skin, not what the 'Murican Census Bureau tells me they are.

That's utterly effing stupid. A white person is a person with white skin and features, not someone with black skin from Africa or someone with brownish/yellow/white skin from the Middle East!
As far as skin color goes, people from North Africa aren't that different from the ones in Middle East.
