I am going to go in a different direction here than most of you. In this game, where even the toughest creature takes under 5 seconds to kill, speed, damage, augments etc don't factor in as much for me as they would in another rpg.
This is Fable 2 where armor is gone, replaced with clothes that have no effect other than appearance and modifiers associated with them. Therefore when selecting a weapon I often choose what is best along those lines. While a Katana might look sleek on my tall/skinny gunslinger decked all in black, it looks less attractive on my short, fat, strong, ranger coat wearing evil character. I prefer a hammer in that instance.
That my friends is how you decide what weapon is best =)

That also has to do with personal preference, but I never thought of it like that. I'd give what people call "+rep" except I'm unsure how...

right till near end of game i used master katana with ghoul and lucky augments. for ranged the red dragon. All the legendary melee weapons seem underpowered (in speed and/or strength) apart from the daichi which I used when I got it.

the only catch with the daichi is that it has pretty crappy augments. i dont remember them really, just the killerwatt and bewitching, i cant remember the last augment. in my opinion the best weapon is obviously a master type weapon of your choice with like a ghoul and golden touch or ghoul and lucky charm augment. but hey, thats just my opinion. a katana or a long sword maybe.

Thanks. I finally got the flurries just right, and it's amazing how many times, I get the slow motion kills.:O Totally amazing camera shots.:wub: And the bow, helps my health. I love the crossbow,

My favorite so far has been the Master Cleaver with Ghoul touch. I never get hurt basically.
I haven't gotten many of the legendary weapons yet though. I also like the Master Repeater Crossbow. The Machine gun like action when firing plus the cool animation when reloading makes it a winner in my book.
Also if you switch to mele and back to ranged you instantly reload

Hehe, the cleaver scares me. I love swords, and watching dueling. Couldn't do it in real life, but now I can with this game. Totally amazing battling. On a 10th profile, I am trying a little of everything in my games, but dueling really done well, is so cool. i Sometimes I just shoot their heads off, with my bow.
It seems more graphic.
