Two US men face charges in Denver for allegedly driving around with the body of a friend after discovering him dead.

The pair bought drinks, dinner and took $400 (£253) from Jeffrey Jarrett's bank, visiting a strip club before reporting his death, police said.

Robert Young, 43, and Mark Rubinson, 25, are charged with identity theft, criminal impersonation and abuse of a corpse.

Jarrett was pronounced dead at home in Denver after the 28 August incident.
The cause of death is not currently known, with police saying the results of toxicology tests may not be available for several weeks.

Ugh, Thats just wrong. I can't even find the words to describe my digust at this.

Bet that was a helluva hangover, damn thats cold... I'd hope for money from his last will & testaments and take any cash in his wallet is all. Go the strip club after the funeral, I'd feel slightly guilty having a stripper poke her boobies in my face knowing my friend is dead in a alley and I'm taking a buffet of his money before he's even buried.

Still... I lol'd

I get the feeling that neither one of them imagined there could be repercussions to this. For some reason I visualized all three of them dressed as blues brothers.

Was reading a thread on another forum for "ask a corpse removal specialist anything" and he said that white people are by far the strangest when it comes to losing a loved one. Half of the time you can't even tell they're going through a loss.

I'm also somewhat amused that of all the odd every day stories that could come from the US, the BBC would choose to publicize this one to their reader base.

Talk about bad timing on my part. Sorry if this triggered anything for you.
Naw man you're cool, I was slightly more ****ed that the week before was Suicide Prevention week.
He's alright though?
Yes, but still not entirely happy, trying to find ways to hang out with him, but he lives a bit away.
