Whats Rocked And Sucked?

Rocked
  • Last early day of the week today.
  • Some great gaming announcements lately.
  • DBZ Movie is doing well outside of Japan.
  • So many good games out and coming soon.
  • All going well I should find out if we are having a boy or a girl in just over 1 week.
Sucked
  • Longest day of the week today.
  • Have hardly had any time to game at all lately.
  • Loads of DIY to do.
  • MOT for car this month.
  • Got to spend £4000+ on a driveway soon too.
 
Rocked
  • Some great games out and coming soon.
  • Car passed MOT & didnt cost as much as I expected but still needed work.
  • Had some time to play The Witcher 3 this week.
  • Got chatting to a nice guy on Twitter & added him on Steam.
Sucked
  • Hedges... man they grow fast!
  • Needed some extra cash from overtime this week and hasnt been busy enough at work for overtime yet.
  • Got loads of outgoings soon.
  • Still havent had enough time to actually sit and game on my PC properly yet.

  • New Age 0f Mythology & Age of Empires II expansion coming after a very long time.
  • Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Yuris Revenge free on origin and run fine on Windows 10.
  • Reliving my youth with all these amazing RTS titles.
  • Day off work tomorrow.
  • Weather was pretty decent today.
  • Won a copy of DayZ.
Sucked
  • Havent had much time to game at min and loads of games I havent touched yet.
  • Heating is on the blink and decides when it wants to work.
  • Didnt have as much overtime as I needed lately and got loads to pay for at the min.

  • So far I have managed to get original C&C, Red Alert 2/Yuris Revenge, Tiberian Sun/Firestorm, Emperor Battle For Dune & Battle for Middle Earth II & Expansion all running on Windows 10 with no issues. Going to attempt Generals & Zero Hour next and see if I can get them working ok.
  • Going to also attempt to revive an old dead gaming rig I had years ago (not my old main one as that still lives minus a GFX card). Then im going to give it to Jack and maybe try and salvage some parts for it to bring it more up to date so he can play some games on it.
  • Almost done my main Christmas shopping and only have the odd few bits to pick up here and there and saved decent amount of cash with some good sales and bargains.
Sucked
  • Old PC im trying to revive might have a dead power supply (along with other hardware issues) and plenty of spyware/virus problems and such (was one I bought originally for my sisters) so might have a big job getting it working again.
  • Already disliking these dark cold mornings.
  • Missing the Good Food show this year as Amy cant manage to walk around it all day being 7 months pregnant.
 
I'm going to that on Thursday - never been before so looking forward to it.

Although my friend thinks ISIS is going to blow us all up at the NEC.

Least you will go out full of food, it's good (been about 4 times) and plenty of free samples of food and booze going around there. Less busy in the week too which is a bonus.

  • The old dead PC lives again, it was a dead power supply and I found an old one from another dead rig (only 300W though).

Sucked
  • Yet to get it to boot to Windows however so something else is wrong also, will continue to investigate tomorrow. Determined to revive it and get it running again.
 
Free booze? AWESOME!

  • Managed to get PC hooked up to Jacks TV and pretty much everything works well.
  • Got Red Alert 2/Yuris Revenge working on the new PC too so means that Jack & I should be able to play LAN.
  • Christmas shopping has pretty much been finished and most are wrapped already.
  • Shall have some spare cash again starting next month after tax recalculation.
  • Steam sales are looking good so far.
Sucked
  • Only thing that doesnt work currently is the sound to the TV, need to get a VGA to HDMI cable or see if I can get audio cable working properly.
  • Didnt manage to get old rig running well, something went wrong with Windows Installation and spent entire day trying to switch out HDD's and reinstall to no avail so gave up on that one and refurbished another.
  • Going to rain for the whole week and I hate rain.
  • Had no time to game at all besides a quick game on Battle for Middle Earth II.

  • Good Food Show was amazeballs - got completely and unintentionally hammered during my tour of the alcohol section and genuinely needed a nice sit down to sober up.
  • Shopping in my favourite place (Telford) with my squidgy niece and being the first person to make her smile and laugh. Not allowed to tell my brother in law this...
  • Black Friday being chilled this year (in Telford, at least) and getting Jake some gifts.
  • My Little Pony slippers
  • The weather - sorry but I love stormy nights

  • Racist idiots talking loudly about ethnic minorities being evil as they walked past a member of staff in primark who was Muslim.
  • Discovering that my favourite wine is not available online and I have to import it from South Africa at great cost to myself
  • Running low on Magnum Scottish Cream liqueur
  • Back is wrecked - or as the young 'uns of the internet would say, rekt - and cannot shift the pain because I'm not allowed ibuprofen or muscle relaxants whilst on anti depressants

Happens a lot there and had a hell of a lot of free samples and such myself when I've been and then ended up in pub afterwards. We drank so much one year we ended up missing last train and went back to pub until closing and booked into hotel for night.

There was this Bailey's stand where because they were serving full measures, you had to have your hand stamped so they don't serve you again.

This elderly woman sitting at the back was getting everyone to go and get samples on her behalf and was quietly getting smashed. She had about 12 by my count before I left...

  • Passing by a coffee shop and one of the workers stopped me and gave me a bag of freshly grind coffee as a gift
  • One month and a few days to go till i start my new job
  • Found a copy of Do The Right Thing (a movie that came out in 1989)

  • Hearing that my grandfather was taken to the hospital yesterday
  • My bow broke beyond repair a few hours ago.

  • I won an honorable mention in the fan fiction competition
  • Got started working out again with my daughter
  • Had some fun matches in Fable Legends
  • Got to chat with a few of the Lions
  • Got PAX East tickets and booked the Hotel

  • Ankle and shoulders are sore but not much
  • No news on the Fable Legends Holiday 2015 announcement.
  • I'm not in England Celebrating Shanie's new job
  • Only got Friday and Sunday Tickets

  • Still got a week of holiday to take before end of the year.

  • Finally got to try Jade Empire after being recommended it a LONG time ago.
  • Comedy gig tonight.
  • 8 weeks left until baby arrives.
  • Won a code for The Witcher III DLC.

  • Barely had any sleep thanks to the wind.
  • At work still currently and 2 hours to kill before I leave.
  • Im driving tonight so cant have a beer.
  • Not enough time to play the games I have.
  • Im broke at the moment thanks to many bills going out on Dec 1st.
  • Sleep situation not likely to improve for some time... :lol:

  • Had 3 days off work.
  • Loads of great games to play and some nice updates lately too.
  • Managed to get sound working on Jacks PC running through his TV (was easy in the end).
  • Last early day at work of the week.
  • Some great looking games been announced also.
  • Only 6 weeks left until baby is here.
  • Money should hopefully build back up over next few weeks now bills and Christmas shopping are out of way.
Sucked
  • Means I have around 6 weeks left to finish A LOT of games before my free time gets drastically cut for a while.
  • Though baby could come early and catch us both by surprise.
  • Only get couple of days off for Christmas so not going to be enough time to hammer through games.
  • DDOS attacks being aimed at PSN and Xbox Live over Christmas again by no life wastes of oxygen.
 
Been a while since I played this so I'll play catch up.
Rocked:
  • Got promoted to assistant manager.
  • Going to see Star Wars on Monday.
  • Listening to Between the Buried and Me while playing Diablo.
  • Kids are growing up so fast and I get to have so much fun with them, plus their cuddles are amazing.
  • Evan Williams egg nog mixed with off brand Fireball.


Sucked:
  • The State Government decided that me and my ex/wife handling child support outside of court just wouldn't be fair and right, so they stepped in and brought us to court, now I'm paying the same amount ($520) except only $280 of that goes to my kids while the Government reaps the rest.
  • With Child Support being pulled straight from my paycheck, my pay bump was brought from an extra $130 a week to $8 a week
  • My promotion was to the second most profitable store in the entire enterprise, which is both good and bad.
  • Car is starting on the downward slope. :/

  • Saved some money on phone contract which has saved me quite a lot over the year.
  • Been working overtime for 2 weeks straight so got some decent wages coming in for a while also.
  • Will get 2 weeks off soon when baby is born.
  • Loads of great games to get through.
  • Loads of great movies out.
  • Now have a PC, XB1 & PS4 to game on.
Sucked
  • Had no time at all to play anything lately & not much time to post on forums either.
  • Working 6 days a week is pretty tiring.
  • Weather has been getting colder.
